General Wolves News

Don't know enough about this, but he has been charged with 'misconduct' as opposed to 'violent conduct' that Kudus got, for example, after losing his head against Spurs.

At grassroots level that leaves the punishment pretty much open to the panel. Not necessarily bad news, but has the possibility of being so

Wonder, as he has till Thursday to grovel and show remorse, whether any ban will start after the weekend?
He will get his punishment this week...guess we can appeal it and that would pause any ban.

Then hope the FA are on holiday and he gets to play in all the Christmas games...

Surely if he appeals it, it could lead to an extra game ban.

I think it’s easy to interpret some poor performances as not playing for the team but I’m not convinced it’s quite as clear cut. My view is that what we’ve witnessed is players who have had poor direction from GO and they’ve being asked to play in a way that makes the whole team disjointed. Much of it stems from asking the central midfield to cover too much ground and that weakness then causes ripples throughout the rest of the team. Throw in RAN popping up all over the place and selecting Bellegarde, Rodrigo and Forbs who are miles short of PL quality and it’s collapsed like a pack of cards.

I don’t believe Gomes, Lemina and most of the others don’t care, they’re just frustrated by a succession of defeats. Likewise Cunha who has started to try and take on the opposition single-handed. Whoever comes in needs to ensure that whatever tactics he chooses the players are capable of delivering.
yeah, agree with this.
Whilst the weekend was a poor performance, by the end the players were dead on their feet. They put every bit of effort into playing, and they wanted to win. It was also really noticeable how several of them were overwhelmed when the ipswich winner went in.

The players have, in the main, stuck to trying to perform to the best of their abilities, in spite of the way the team has been set up.

I think that is why a fair few do feel that with a structure in place, the team has the ability to get out of the bottom 3, with the caveat it will not be easy to do so.

If it's an appeal for appeals sake then yes.

Mitigating circumstances we would like to be reviewed, then no.
You'd think any appeal will be like the Bentacour one around the length not the ban itself. Doesn't really matter what any provocation was, the guilt is clear. If he goes for a personal hearing which he'd be entitled to (assuming the rules are the same throughout the game) then he could kick the can until after Xmas I'd have thought.

He can appeal it this week, play against Leicester, lose his appeal next week and start his ban in time for the mince pies. Very unlikely to get an extra game if the appeal is framed in a mitigating circumstances argument as that is going to be hard to prove as frivolous.

He will end up serving whatever ban is imposed in the original hearing, just shoved back a week in the fixture list.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a typo, but seems a low allocation for Newcastle away. 1562 tickets less than we usually take.

You've got to wonder if we'd sacked GoN earlier whether this incident would've happened.

It's no-one elses fault but Cunha's but butterflies wings and all that!

I’m sure some players deliberately get suspended this time of year to have xmas off.
That's where the comments from GON saying no-one is giving 110% more than me and the team riled me. And then you go on Instagram and see players at the likes of Disneyland Paris.
