I think he was good in his previous role and added value to the club.
I know he has a machine to pat himself on the back over his mega successes but he knows what he is doing there. Started this role actually being open and honest to us as well.
Hoped he would fill the Jeff void in the football area at the club. Somewhat hampered by the spend....don't spend strategy but certainly since the summer has fallen into the Jeff area of talking bollocks and his ability to spot a manager is certainly not as good as he thinks it is.
It's worth considering that any Director of Football/Sporting Director/whatever title you want to give them at Wolves does not have the normal levels of power and influence that someone in that kind of role would have elsewhere.
They can influence strategy to a point, but ultimately the direction of travel comes from Jeff Shi (no-one above him), who will also unilaterally do things above your head and if you don't like it, you know where the door is. And of course Jeff Shi knows as much about football as I do quantum physics.
