It’s like a pendulum that gathers momentum - opinions just become more and more polarised. Seems the way of the world today on most things.I could have used Semedo and the point would still stand. Players who have polarising views get OTT opinions from each side. People thought Semedo was shit so then the others have to over exaggerate something he does to make his seem better than he is “he carries the ball well” being my favourite. Rather than just accepting he’s an average FB.
Same for Fabio. People said he was shit so then others big him up to he the best since sliced bread (not neccessairily on here). I’m optimistic he will be good this year after Wednesday, but the answer is always in the middle of those arguments. He isn’t terrible and he’s not a “star boy” or whatever.
Edit - oh and add Kilman to that too
