General Wolves News

Very surprised our wage bill is higher than Wham

Is that due to 2 years of bonus's due to the season ending late?

Not much we don't know, was clear we were due absolutely loads of money from 2019/20 and it'd double up in the next set.

Basically the club makes money without the owners doing much and we don't spend it because reasons.

He missed out the sale of Vinagre for this year, mentioning the 2 years of bonus payments and the severance packages for Nuno and his staff but apart from that it seems as expected. Hopefully the wages as a % of turnover will remain similar as it did over the last 2 seasons.

Don't forget that sweet sweet extra £2m we're getting from ramping everyone's ticket prices up. As you can see, we *definitely* needed to do that.

We are off to the USA in the Summer as per Percy. Presumably we'll play at Jerry World against a Mexican side

Good news for Alan though, he'll get to shout "DEFENCE, DEFENCE, DEFENCE" to Sa, Coady, Saiss and Kilman in person, and take the Charlotte ultras to watch proper soccerball

Cue the club shop selling retro LA Wolves shirts.

Less likely would be selling the shirts from our other lesser known US championship win a couple of years later, when we pretended to be "Kansas City Spurs".

Maybe there’s something in these 1-0 wins after all…

Not really. We've lost 7 1-0 as well 8 if you include the cup against a PL side.

Of course there's something in being able to win 1-0. It's not ideal, bit if you're defensively good enough to regularly keep clean sheets then 1 goal is often going to be enough to win the game, as we have proven. And as Arsenal frequently did years ago when 1-0 to the Arsenal was a song often heard, and I believe they did alright out of it. You'd definitely want to be better at creating and scoring, but when you can keep a lot of clean sheets it helps cover up your attacking deficiencies.

Apparently Barca are now interested in Neves. They can't even afford Adama so how the fuck can they think of Ruben ??
Yes I know a load of bullshit paper talk but where's there's smoke.....

They are €200m over the Liga spending limit set for them. Even if the sell the sponsorship and naming rights to Spotify they will only just clear that over spend.

spotify have just announced a sponsorship deal for the nou camp. Barca are still a big draw and will find ways to generate income if they need to.
