Fulham 3-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Don't think we got anything for Jonny. We were desperate to get rid.

What an absolute mess. It's almost impressive how disfunctional the club is both on and off the pitch.

There's absolutely no chance that 3 teams finish below us. We'd have to improve immeasurably to not finish bottom.

I said this last week, but we genuinely don't have a single player who is capable of changing a game. No player in the squad has that spark about them. A Raul, a Jota, Neves, Neto, Cunha to name but a few.

On top of that we're utterly bereft of any sort of leadership.

I'm normally an optimistic supporter but I can't see a single thing to be optimistic about at Wolves right now. We're going down without a fight with a squad that I wouldn't want to see in the championship, let alone the Premier League.

I'm sick of us being shit, but we're going to be shit for a good while yet.

I think back to the summer when Vitor spoke of creating a work of art - my 4 year old granddaughter could produce better with a broken crayon (no offence Athena)

I don't see how Vitor can survive this mess. I don't hate him. I don't even dislike him and I loved what he did last year but no manager can or should survive such a horrific run. We literally look like we are incapable of beating anyone right now. Hearing all the old Nuno era songs in the second half was heartbreaking to think of what we had compared to where we are now.

When the team was leaked this morning (has to be either Andre, Joao Gomes or somebody close to them) we all thought it was a wind up or clickbait but no, it was true. I said this morning that if it was so, I would genuinely feel that Vitor at this point just wants his pay off.

In the week against Chelsea we were an embarrassment in the first half. Second half was better where Tolu looked a handful and scored a good goal, Moller Wolfe scored a brace. Today? Tolu doesn't start, comes on when we're already 2-0 down, Moller Wolfe doesn't even get on the pitch. Our 2 Brazilians sit on the bench scratching their heads while Munetsi lumbers around in their position. Agbadou gets back in and lets us down.

An utter shambles. Vitor will ultimately pay the price, should be immediately but probably not with our idiotic owners but ultimately Shi is responsible for this mess with so many poor decisions over the past 4 years since sacking the best manager of our lifetimes because he always knows best.

Sadly don't see us getting out of this. Best we can hope for is someone to come in and begin the slow come back, restore some pride, get more out of this bunch than we're seeing and try not to be the worst PL side ever.

What a shit state of affairs after so long at this level, from European football to this. Now we know what Jeff was rambling on about last year about acting as if we were a newly promoted club (I still don't get that shit), if we were newly promoted via the play offs I could kind of accept this situation but we're not.

Literally no joy or pleasure in following this club any more, sad times.

Vitor’s post match thoughts in here.

Where to go with most of it.

Which second half is he referring to because if it’s Chelsea, he’s playing a different team today?
Speaks about consistency yet there’s no consistency in selection or formations.
Tactically then that lies at his own door.

The team selection today was one of numerous things all of which are alarming and good reasons alone to sack him.

1. He genuinely thought tactically that was the best side to pick and line up with.
We all knew it was a shocking team selection.
2. He’s banishing his two best midfielders out of spite because they’ve probably spoken out about how much of shit show this is.
3. He wants the sack and wants his compo package to go back home and sit comfortably, ( this I don’t think is reality though)

I think it’s a case of 1 and 2, likes of MM, JRB etc probably work hard in training and probably tow the party line because they’re just happy to be at a PL club.
Tolu only getting bit parts in each PL game is just utter stupidity and this at the same time JSL saunters around in a strop.
Numerous things we look unfit, disorganised and none committed.
Having said that if we had all the above we’d still be in trouble as the squad quality levels are championship.
Again VP had a lot of power this summer so it’s on him a lot too.
Comes across as nice bloke when it’s going well but a bit of a tit for tar bully boy when he’s being criticised and questioned.
Basically get him out now pls

It is the perfect trifecta...incompetent owners, incompetent transfer strategy, incompetent management.

We don't have any real quality, and i include J Gomes and Andre in that. Both are the type midfielders who are a bare minimum in the Premier League and they both share the same "qualities" and limitations. We have overpaid considerably for what we got in the summer in addition to getting less than we should have for players we sold. We turned down more for Strand Larsen than we got for Cunha.

This manager has upset players in the dressing room much like GON did, there are some bad attitudes in there who cant take criticism.
With a new manager Sa will stop sulking.
A back four of Mosquera, Agbadou, Toti, Wolfe
With Andre, Kreji and Joao in front of them.
Then possibly Bellegarde.
And JSL and Tolu up front.
I think we can get some points*.
Our full backs are shite so may as well bench them along with Munetsi, Santi, Hugo etc.

*I have had a drink or two.

It’s hard not to care each week I think that maybe we might get a win but it never happens.
Massive difference between being disillusioned and giving up if you can do the latter I doubt you’re a proper supporter.
No matter how bad the scenario you’ll always care to a certain degree which is why this season is becoming a horror show.
To add it’s why Jeff comments in the past telling us that this club might not be for us etc is an indictment on how Fosun haven’t got a clue about how fans choose their clubs.

1) Sulking isn't the issue with Sa, he is fucking crap
2) Mosquera might do alright at RB (and can scarcely be worse than the other three) but he's never played there in the PL, Agbadou has been diabolical all season, Toti is never someone you should want starting every game and Wolfe did well in midweek but other than that he's not been good
3) Yes, fine, that looks alright
4) Bellegarde is shite
5) I would go with this but how many managers (not just Vitor) go with two giants up top, and where's the width or creativity to supply them because they won't create anything on their own

Enjoy your drink my friend, I will tonight, I need one.

Yep, definitely a fairweather manager.

Such a shame, as he forged a strong connection with the fanbase pretty quickly, and had his mate in a senior position, seemingly a decent amount of autonomy himself, and a whole summer to reshape the squad into something competitive and compelling and...they all utterly fucked it up!

If he stays around much longer he'll become a proper toxic presence, got no doubt about that

I'm usually as happy a clapper as they come. Lage was going to keep us up. GON was going to keep us up. VP will not keep us up. Wim fucked.

Plus side is this is my best betting year ever.

Laid off every league match. 100% success rate.
Got relegation at 6/1 pretty much as last season ended.
Have played the next manager to leave markets safe in the knowledge that there's no chance Fosun are making a quick decision on this one and have made a decent chunk just from betting against Vitor being next.

As a Premier League squad, that would perform better than we are right now.
