Had a stupidly good second season with Wolves on FM 2012. Retained the League Cup and won the FA Cup and finished 4th after a kind run in for us coupled with a bit of a collapse from Arsenal allowed us to steal in with just 1 game remaining.

Signed Christian Eriksen, Matias Schelotto and Cheik M'Bengue to improve my first 11 and a couple of younger players for the future. Hammill, Milijas & Edwards among those to move on.

I'm getting a bit bored of my Wolves save now but I must persevere. I went last season unbeaten in the league, and am doing it again this season after 20-something games. The domestic challenge has faded and we're dominating easily, but the two things keeping me going should be worth it.

I've yet to win the Champion's League and that's really sticking in my throat. I won't leave Wolves until I've done that and I fear I'm becoming a bit Fergie-esque in that respect. The squad is good enough but it's either Real or Barca who we always fall short against. Maybe this season could be the season.
Secondly is the youth side of things, I've never played a game long enough to bring through more than one golden era of youths. As it stands I've seven youth players who have broken into the first team on a rotation basis, and in another couple of seasons they'll be the mainstay of the first team. I'm looking forward to pushing that on and bringing another wave through after them. I've turned down the Inter job, Real job and Chelsea job so far so I'll stay committed. I also need to win stuff with England which I've never done.

Wooohoooo won my first hardware! Carling cup. It went to penalties against a crappy Burnley side so that was disappointing, but they bottled every single penalty kick so I won in 3 rounds.

Kind of anti-climactic, I must admit. :icon_lol:

Hardware? :icon_lol:

Well done though mate!

In my first season with Scunthorpe I finished tenth, which is supposedly an achievement for them but I was quite disappointed! Had a forward from Arsenal on loan, Zele Ismail and towards the end of the season Wardy! Brought in Danny Pacheco too.

Clearing out the crap on big wages now, and hopefully bring in some of the young players who areen't too bad plus some bargains.

Finished 4th, excellent facilities and coaching, some faaaantastic players, etc.... How the hell did the clubs reputation stay the same? They went down in the overall England ranking!

You need to make sure that you take that fourth place finish and turn it into a champions league appearance next season. Reputation will go up and your ranking will move because you get a lot of money for appearing in that competition.

4th place is an automatic CL placing though, I thought? Or am I missing something here? Are you referring to making it into the elimination stages? As far as money, I moved up a few spots in richest clubs, I'm something like 30th in the world, so finances definitely aren't hurting me right now... Just aggravating.

Signed Lampard, couldn't resist even though he's 37. On 54k a week, but I signed him for 120k. Pretty slow but all other stats are fantastic, hoping he helps out some youngsters and solidifies the midfield when running thin.

You'll have to play a preliminary game to get into the group stage.

After losing my old Wolves save and temporarily falling out of love with FM, it's taken a short while, but I figured with the new patch, and us having Bassong & Frimpong, I'd give Wolves another go, here's a short summary of the 1st season.

First thing I did was promote Anthony Forde and Zeli Ismail to the first team, I employed a new tactic I had, which was a 4-1-2-2-1, team at the start of the game was, Hennessey, Foley, Johnson, Bassong, Ward, with Frimpong in the holding and O'Hara, & Milijas in the middle of the park, with Jarvis & Kites on the wing with Fletcher up front.

The transfers in that I made were, Kleber, a left back from Internacional for a fee of £6.5m, I've always struggled with left backs, especially as Ward and Elokobi never cut the mustard, and he was the best that I could get, Craig Dawson from Albion, he cost me £1.4m, had him a couple of times, always done well for me, always finds himself transfer listed too, so an added bonus, and finally, the best signing I made, was, Ruben Yttergard Jenssen, for a fee of £1m, I absolutely recommend him to anyone, a good, cheap, playmaking midfielder, he creates everything for me.

Finally, on to the season, first two games of the season, I had Arsenal and Man City, nice, gonna be bottom for the first two games, or so I thought..

Arsenal game, I was all over them, but I just couldn't score, so I decided to bring on Zeli for Jarvo, and 10 minutes later, he pops up with a goal, and then Fletch adds another, a 2-0 win against Arsenal, not bad.
Then on to City, I get a decent start, with Kites scoring in the 7th minute, then Bassong and Johnson add another 2, I'm 3-0 up, at Man City, then they come back at me, a Carlos Tevez double and an Edin Dzeko goal means I draw 3-3 at the Etihad, bit disappointing in retrospect, considering I was 3-0 up, but them's the breaks.

The rest of the season goes well for me, I manage to beat the teams around me, along with a couple of the top teams.

In January I managed to sign Fernando from FC Porto for £3.7m, as Frimpong would be leaving at the end of the season, he's added a bit of steel in the midfield, which I was lacking.

I currently find myself in March, and I'm top of the Premier League, by 4 points, my stand out performers have to be Steven Fletcher with 30 goals for the season, Roger Johnson with 17 goals, and O'Hara and Jenssen with 21 assists between them.

I'm hoping I can win the league, but we're yet to have the dreaded 'blip' in the season, so that's due any time soon, I'll keep this updated if anybody's interested or whatever.

Also, has anyone had any luck with developing Anthony Forde? I know Zeli is the main one, but for me, it's been Anthony Forde, he's kept Kites out of the side most of the time, played 16 games, 3 goals and 4 assists, he'd have more assists if Fletch didn't miss so many one on ones, but that's the way it goes. I put him on his own training schedule to try and improve his pace, crossing and technique, doesn't seem to be getting better stats wise, but the performances he turns in are decent enough, especially from an 18 year old.

If anyone wants any screenshots I don't mind providing.

Dang, first season finishing high in the table, "only" getting 4th, and the job offers are poooouring in. Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, a host of German and Italian teams, and even several national offers.

So now I'm managing Spain and Wolves. Kinda wished it was Germany offering a job but I'm certainly not going to turn Spain down.

Lost the fucking champions league final to Napoli to prevent a clean sweep of trophies after waltzing the league and beating Man City in both domestic finals (easily once, and on penalties in the FA Cup). Fucking Edinson Cavani can just fuck off. Absolute beast in that game and doesn't want to move to Wolverhampton for some reason.

Guido Marilungo ended on 28 goals for the season. Excellent. However Bayern Munich are pondering an £82 million swoop for him. If they match the buyout clause I put in his contract then it is mega-money but I will be most pissed off.

First time I've experience the squad starting to turn on me! We had started the season well but went on a horrible run where we just couldn't win. I seem to have solved the issue by changing the captain and dropping my best player (who has since fought his way back into my starting eleven). Now we are playing some brilliant football and have got ourselves back in the play off positions mid-February. Dani Pacheco is awesome!

Won the league, but lost in the final of the FA Cup to Liverpool, was all over them, they took their chances, we didn't, lost 2-1, disappointed by it but with some squad improvements hopefully we can win the cups next season, trying to find a new left back as Kleber is getting on a bit, signed Romario the right back from Vitoria, signing Jonjo Shelvey for £6.5m, also after Leo Bonatini, looks a decent backup striker to Fletch, had all my scouts scout him, he has 4* potential and will apparently become a leading striker in the Premier League, and for £2.8m, I'm not complaining.

Also, on my news, saw that Arsenal had offered me Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, I thought 'great, replacement for Kites', looked at it, they'd offered him me £115m, yeah, I don't want him that much!

In other news, got Chelsea and Man City sniffing around Anthony Forde now, his value has risen to £3m, so gonna keep playing him and see if he can progress even further!

I could have picked him up for £3.5m in my game in 2016 but he's nowhere near as good as my other wide players.

Are yours just regens now if you're that far in? My scouts rate him at 5* still, so that's why I want him, even his current potential would make him by best right winger.

On the left: Giovanni Dos Santos/Ricardo Kishna
On the right: Gervinho/William Battais (regen)/Ernesto Reinoso (regen)

I'll post screenies later.

Just checked out that Kishna, stats aren't that good, but I'm only in the second season, I'm guessing he's much more developed on yours.

Do you have them as proper wingers, you know go to the byline, whip a cross in, or cut in and help out with the goalscoring?

I do have them set to hug touchline and get to byline, but Gervinho really does his own thing. All of them weigh in with goals too which helps a lot.

Kishna really is worth picking up cheap and developing. He's been with me from the start of the game and this season he's pushed his way into the first team allowing me to sell Adam Johnson for a massive profit. Dos Santos was picked up for £1m while Gervinho cost £8.75m.
