Surely you could only challenge decisions? That was a non decision and would require stopping the game in open play. As much as I think it was a foul they’re never going to allow a manager to stop the game in open play.
You challenge when there is a break in play.
 
It is inherent to VAR in this country. I’ve attended live events in other sports where this kind of nonsense does not happen.
I don’t understand. They can simply show the replay in the stadium and inform the crowd properly. How is that inherently impossible?

That is the line they give, yes. And I understand the history of hooliganism. But that argument seems kind of ridiculous to me (from them, less so you).

If that’s a truly legitimate concern then fair enough I guess. Pretty hard for me to accept out of hand, though.

The could but they won’t. It’s utterly disgraceful we are treated like this, but we are. They prioritise manufactured suspense and drama for tv viewers overseas above fans in the ground.
