I was highly critical of his (Nunes) performances for the season that he was with us, admittedly not on this message board so you'll have to take my word for it!

For the fee we paid and the high profile I expected a lot more.

Each time I criticised him I was told that it was because he was being played out of position. When he was in the "right" role and I still criticised him I was told that it takes a year to settle in to the Premier League when moving here...

Reality is that he just isn't very good...

I'm just grateful City came in for him and we managed to make some money off of him!!

His attitude overall was fucking awful too.

There was always talent there, but he likely believed Peps prior "best midfielder" comment, and attitude/application didn't match or exceed the ability.

I agree actually, I think he suits them well in terms of attitude and endeavour, and he's got quality - plus a good record in terms of development and personal growth on the pitch. He's not world class obviously, but he could be a good squad option for them
