He was solid but the way they set up kept it very simple for him. His passing was generally good - though he had one miss kick where you could actually hear how annoyed he was with himself.

If they start to defend in bigger spaces that’s when we’ll see whether he can realise his potential imo. That’s the challenge, as with us when we asked that of him it’s when he starts to look unco-ordinated and erratic.

He'd be absolutely fine in a back three. As YW said - when he's in big spaces that's when he starts to panic.

It may be one we regret with hindsight as I think he was sold very much on the basis that JL was happy with it/at the time he believed he needed to raise funds.
