Ex-Wolf Watch

Weirdly, my only recollection of him was the cross for Keogh to score at Derby which secured promotion.

His 45 mins at Barnsley was a disgrace though

His attitude just made no sense. We were very likely to go up when he signed on loan. He obviously had no future at Villa. Just try hard and Mick will probably sign you because you're cheap (in relative terms), have "PL experience" and we need to be phasing out the likes of Iwelumo anyway. Don't even need to move house if you join us.

Could not give a solitary shite.

New Paddy Power ad contains Hoddle and Anderton, quite funny!

SEB going after his surgeon.

When he played in Craddock's testimonial in 2014 (only about a year after he last played for us), he looked like a celebrity who'd turned up for a jolly, not a 28 year old pro footballer. Something clearly went very wrong somewhere, he shouldn't have had that kind of drop off. He still scored 15 for us in 2012/13 in an appalling team.

Very sad to hear he's struggling mentally.

I remember that testimonial game - it was so sad to see him look so off the pace.

Was a superb signing for us - so many good memories.

The Blues game where he got injured (I would love to blame that fat thug Robinson, but on this occasion I don't think it actually was his fault) was on 1 April 2013. So very soon it is 10 years since he played for us.

Time really does fly.

I still think Robinson knew what he was doing. Proper chucked his dick at Sylvan's ankle and sat down on top of it.

Dirty tackle in my book.

Mayyyyybe.

If it weren't Paul Robinson with his history, then I don't think you'd particularly question the defender. It was the landing. One of those things.

Can’t believe he’s 37. First house I bought in Cambridge was next door to his cousin’s place and Sylvan was always round there in a pushchair!!

Massive family with some interesting characters but I always got on well with them. His old man was a good footballer and I played against a few of his relatives Sunday league.

Bloody hell, 37.

I’ve always thought it was strange how that end his career.

Relegated us too (I mean probably would have anyway but he would have hit 20+ goals and it could have saved us)

We were 4 points shy of safety in the end.

Our record after he got injured was P6 W1 D0 L5.

I think he'd have scored enough to keep us up (Brighton and Hull aside, the latter of which we somehow won anyway [!], they weren't very hard fixtures).

The terrifying thing is that we wouldn't have sacked Saunders, he'd have acted like we'd won the Champions League, and he'd have signed some absolute fucking mutants. I was at that point of not going to games anyway, until he fucked off then that was me done with giving the club money.

Yeah, greater good and all that.

Who scored the winner against Hull, Doyle? I seem to remember Doumbia playing well for 20 minutes in that one.
