Well this second half is a bit grim, no movement, poor passing, no pace. We looked decent at times in the first half. Defensively we look all over the place.
As you know we only deal in loans with a view to permanent. Chelsea arent going to sell him any time soon.
Are you saying Southgate has actively decided to not win by more goals? It is about managing expectations. Win 5 0 tonight and the loons think we are champions already. Stay a bit under the radar until knockouts . I do understand that.
France, Germany or Portugal.Who do we play if it finishes like this?

No I think he has chosen to manage the game 1 0 and that’s fine. No goals conceded, group winners . Southgate will feel vindicated. Now it’s knockout and anything can happen. Are you saying Southgate has actively decided to not win by more goals?
Indeed. But…We have a naturally defensive manager, who is worried about his back 4 so sets his side up accordingly and when we have a lead his first priority is to shut the game down. Meanwhile we probably have the best offensive talent in 20 years and depth wise probably longer than that
We have a 50/50 chance on paper but 45k fans for the first time. No opposition will fancy that at all. Foden to come back, Kane will surely come good as you don’t win Golden boots if you’re shit, and defensively looking as solid as at any time in the last four tournaments. I am not a Southgate super fan but England have achieved what was expected so far.We are going out on Tuesday.
They have achieved qualification as group winners which you'd expect with the players we have available to us compared with the other teams in the group but look far from convincing. I'd be amazed if we beat a team like Germany on any recent evidence. Chances are we are going out in a week's time.We have a 50/50 chance on paper but 45k fans for the first time. I’m looking forward to listening to how Jim White will spin this in the morning.
