Euro 2020

He was banned for 10 weeks, and England played no games in that time :D

Trippier has had a very good season. I'd take Walker as the other as he's a bit more flexible than James whose time will come.

Mota looks like someone we'd be interested in based on his performance tonight although his club record doesn't look anything to write home about, so perhaps just having a good game

He started the season well in terms of output. Can play wide or up front. Wouldn’t surprise me.

Makes me wonder whether it's an ego driven injury ie he wasn't in

Maybe so. United have released the statement not England. Got it in early to spare any blushes?

The Athletic once again drip feeding the news out - Lingard not selected.

With him and Greenwood out, he must be taking Saka and Watkins.

Ramsdale, Trent, Godfrey, White, JWP, Lingard and Greenwood my final guess at the unlucky 7.

Can only assume we're taking four right backs then which is absolute madness.

This SSN show is interminable. Dragging it out more than a UEFA draw. Could have come on ten minutes before the announcement. An hour is ridiculous overkill.

10 defenders. 5 midfielders. Beginning to sound like three at the back. Think Coady might get game time.

If he goes back 5, he simply *has* to play Coads as the middle of a three, rather than shoe-horning someone like Stones or Maguire in to that role.

Central midfield looks a mess.

Assuming Maguire doesn't make the first game, he may go -

TAA-James-Coady-Stones-Chilwell

Southgate's just said the 6 to miss out are still in the squad for the two friendlies (?!) and Lingard is probably starting tomorrow.
