Been a very typical Sterling performance over the last 12 months, lots of promising positions compromised by poor touches, poor final ball and endless falling over. However he's currently looking like winning the game, so fair play to him for that. Also guarantees Grealish isn't getting a start any time soon too which may be to the teams detriment in the tournament.

Croatia were piss poor though, a team well past their best. We should be pissing this group now barring the Scots raising their game significantly.

Stirlings movement and runs were very good but a bit ordinary on the ball till he put his chance away. Kane looked very sluggish to me. Phillips probably motm, good all through the game. Foden and Mount had a couple of real moments of quality, defence did what was expected.

Agree, some players selected on past reputation, Trippier, Walker, Sterling. Thankfully came through against an ageing Croatia team and fairly comfortable at the end. Phillips MOM
