Euro 2016 watch

Christ knows why Henderson is playing. Barkley or Drinkwater for me.

I am resigned to the fact that at least one of him and Milner will start, so I have stop getting frustrated, ha!

Even leaving aside the fact that he's never (to my eyes, at least) had a single good game for England, he hasn't had a very good season for Liverpool, Milner has been far better.

Cahill doesn't really merit a shirt on this season's form, I suppose Roy would argue Stones isn't getting a game for Everton either at the moment.

Roy likes sticking to the tried and trusted at times, Lallana hasn't pulled up to many trees either.
It's only a friendly so it's not to bad for experimentation.

Apparently Stones and Smalling who would many people's choice as starting centre halves - well mine anyway, haven't started a game together. Seems like a wasted opportunity to me.

There's some concern Vardy won't be selected for the Euros? Surely Hodgson isn't that daft...?

He hasn't been as good a form as he was at the beginning of the season still playing well enough to go though.
If Hodgson does leave him at home he'll be slaughtered by the press.

Also there's a very good chance Rooney will start against Russia if fit.

With Deir and Alli he wanted an experienced* player in alongside them?

*doesn't have to mean they are any good.

Team to play Germany tomorrow apparently: Butland, Clyne, Smalling, Cahill, Rose, Dier, Henderson, Alli, Lallana, Kane, Welbeck

Not so bad I suppose. I'd have Barkley over Henderson mind.

There's only three players I would select in that starting eleven, the two centre backs and Harry Kane. Not impressed.

I don't think he's raw at all. He's got everything you want.

In France I would have Carrick and Drinkwater in front of the back four with Rooney in front of them, at the moment I would go with Milner. Not a fan of the Spurs lads apart from Harry Kane.

Good grief. Carrick is finished. He's been atrocious this season.

Dier has been absolutely superb all season.

It's got to be Dier holding. Wonderful season and he looks the real deal in that position. Has the brains for international level too.

I'd go with the team that beat France 2-0, except Shaw for Gibbs if fit. And maybe Smalling now for Stones. A young team that actually looked capable of playing some good football against a decent team.

Still has lots to learn, at top level he will be found out because I feel very good players will run off the back of him to easily.

Ross Barkley I wouldn't even take to France, a complete mess of a player. The English version of Adlène Guedioura. Brainless.

Deary me. Yes, he can frustrate at times but he has match winning quality. I'd probably not start him but he'd be a superb option from the bench.

You cannot argue with his goals and assist statistics this season.
