Yes, Germany weren't up to their usual standard, but that was the best Irish performance since we beat Holland at Lansdowne in 2001.

A real blood and guts performance, and we got the win too. Can't stop smiling right now.

Still cant believe it, certainly our best win since then, first decent result at the new Lansdown really, ok Germany were poor and you got the feeling that they expected to score when whenever they wanted we stuck in there. Thought we were on to a hiding when I saw the team, Wardy and Christie as full backs v Germany!

A couple of weeks ago I though we had no chance of making the play-offs let alone have a shot at automatic, infact none of the possible permutations of getting through spoken about, included us beating Germany.

Fantastic achievement by the Nordies as well, their O'Neill comes across as a good guy and has done a great job with such a small pool of players.

Thought Christie played really well, in fact the whole defence looked really sharp. The germans kept getting to the byline, looking for the cut back, and we were wise to it every time.

O'Neill deserves credit, bringing Long on when he did was perfect.
