I currently have a dual fuel tariff with EDF, but I am considering changing. I just wondered what energy supplier you folks use.
I can give you Bulb referral code which gives us both £50. All the energy they supply is from renewable sources - which is nice. Switching was ludicrously easy. Just sign up on their site I they literally do the rest!
I did have Bulb under consideration (as heavily promoted by Richard Herring on Twitter - the guy must have endless free energy from the amount of times his referral code gets used!) There is less than £1 a month difference between the two companies but I think the Bulb tariff is variable where the Octopus one is fixed? Octopus is also renewable and they seem to win a few awards.
I have also recently been switched to a smart meter by my current supplier, does anybody know if this causes any issues when switching suppliers?
Meaning?Surely this is just marketing nonsense?

No, obviously you cannot deliver only green energy but the market works with the wholesalers buying enough energy to be delivered to the grid for their customers. In this case the wholesalers commit to only buying energy from renewable sources
Where is that laugh emoji?government expecting more companies to fold too, which is worrying.
this is a massive opportunity to become a world leader in the provision of renewable energies, but do we have confidence in the incumbents to take appropriate advantage?
