Derby (A) 29/4/17 Build-Up & Match Thread

I don't have a huge amount of time for Saiss at the moment but I can at least tell he has some ability. Take away the odd little run of goals that Dave has and he offers nothing at all.

Similar to how it wouldn't be hard for the club to work out that we've picked these players for two years and it's resulted in two seasons of dreck, it wouldn't be difficult for someone to study Edwards' career, discover that shock horror, he always goes on runs of 4 in 9 followed by 1 in 20, 5 in 12 followed up by 1 in 25, that what you need to do is recognise quickly when his purple patch has finished and bomb him out when that happens, because he's just a waste of a shirt if he isn't scoring.

We're going to finish about 16th this year. We finished 14th last year. Points total will be about the same. Neither are acceptable.

It shouldn't be especially difficult for the club to realise what the sole common factor is across those two years. I'm at the point now where if Brighton and Huddersfield keep us at arm's length and never need to get out of second gear to beat us, and we're totally toothless against an awful Blackburn team, and we take a battering off a Derby team who themselves need a reboot, it doesn't bother me too much IF it reinforces that so, so, so many of these players need to go.

I'll keep saying it, easily 30 players on our books who can do one. Don't care what we get for them.

Completely agree.

Hause, Graham, Cav and Costa are the only players I'm actually interested in us trying to keep lus our young talent. There are others like Evans, Iorfa, Dicko, Marshall who I could handle being here but the rest I couldn't give a shit.

Add the backroom staff to that too. If we sacked Lambert I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

You missed the backroom staff too as this change of attitude and direction has to come from the top. I agree with you on the players though.

Fucking Blues are winning too

EDIT: With ten men.

jury is out on Saiss, also thought he was a good DM but looks like Doumbia MK II(even not same pos) maybe Im wrong and you are right but so be it then..

So if I don't agree with you I'm narrow minded? I think I can make my own mind up based on my own experiences thanks.

Coady has been poor every time I've seen him both on and off the ball but I will concede he is Championship standard, only bottom half at best. He's gone rapidly backwards this year and we will be in another relegation battle with these two next season if they are still being consistently picked.

Agree was probably the wrong term, more 'appreciate'.

Yeah Coady has been terrible moving forward, but in a sense of stop the other team scoring he has been ok (as in wins his headers, wins his tackles, lamps the ball clear). Very basic, but that's where we are right now. Anything where you don't gift goals or chances away is a reasonable performance from a defender, in our current state.

any fucking fullback..i.e Iorfa should be able to stop attacks..it's their fucking obligation..coady and saville as fullbacks is just horrible..

I reckon he will put Graham on for Saiss soon enough.

Its criminal. May as well play lonergan and ikeme as full backs.............well maybe not

will be great with graham and zyro back full strength

3-1

Completely switched off no body marking. Bryson could've had a cuppa before picking his spot. Total wank.

At least when we went down to league one you knew there would be a clear out. Now what would we give for another wholesale bin off

Saiss' fault according to Butler..

woohoo, wish i had 4 or 5 for Derby now in my prediction..how is Burgoyne doing btw..saved any shot?

If blues stay up I reckon they'll finish above us next season

Jon Dadi for Dicko. FFS. What are we learning from this? Put Graham on who it is actually worthwhile to have some minutes.

At least Nouha played well.
