Derby (A) 29/4/17 Build-Up & Match Thread

Coady has been solid at RB, Batth is a standard Championship defender, Edwards is Edwards, and as I've said before, the opinion of This forum is not shared by 90% of wolves fans on Doherty (rightly or wrongly)

Saiss gifting clear goal scoring opportunities every week and doing little to influence the game in the other direction is going to leave him open to stick

That's Cav and Costa gone then. It was nice to see them in a Wolves shirt, real class.

At least we have Dave next season...

Could be four or five down already by the sound of it.

Nothing we don't know, so much shit to get rid of.

Too much to push for even play offs I think at the moment, if I am honest. I'm not hopeful at all. Fucking mess.

To describe the Cava sending off a bit more. He was shoulder to shoulder with Johnson. Outmuscled and then chopped him down when Johnson looked to go forward.

He could have maybe scissored him but seems very harsh at the moment

I have no clue what the fuck you've been watching if you think Batth and Coady are ok. They're fucking gash.

aah shit, didnt realize we had played almost a half already..well looks like i was just about correct then..i thought 3-1 and horrible fullbacks...2-0 then and a sending off..

Coady has been reasonable at RB, terrible going forward, but solid at the back. This is from a bloke who hates him as a footballer. Batth has been shit, but on the hole he is standard championship.

To argue with that you are either watching a different game to me or being too narrow minded IMO

I'm not saying Saiss shouldn't be open to criticism at all. I've wanted him to do well but it doesn't appear to be working for him hear. It's the looking the other way of the likes of Edwards, who consistently offers sweet fuck all that does my head in, amongst others. Thompson will be rubbing his hands together after Cav's sending off, another of his targets IMO. Theme occuring here...

We're going to finish about 16th this year. We finished 14th last year. Points total will be about the same. Neither are acceptable.

It shouldn't be especially difficult for the club to realise what the sole common factor is across those two years. I'm at the point now where if Brighton and Huddersfield keep us at arm's length and never need to get out of second gear to beat us, and we're totally toothless against an awful Blackburn team, and we take a battering off a Derby team who themselves need a reboot, it doesn't bother me too much IF it reinforces that so, so, so many of these players need to go.

I'll keep saying it, easily 30 players on our books who can do one. Don't care what we get for them.

edwards without goal threat

Would never doubt Coady's commitment but he's just not very good. Batth is a walking disaster.

So if I don't agree with you I'm narrow minded? I think I can make my own mind up based on my own experiences thanks.

Coady has been poor every time I've seen him both on and off the ball but I will concede he is Championship standard, only bottom half at best. He's gone rapidly backwards this year and we will be in another relegation battle with these two next season if they are still being consistently picked.

At least Dicko sounds lively. 2-1

My commentary keeps cutting out but Dicko sounds like the only one interested. It'd be great if he can find some form.

Edwards out wide and Dicko up top from what i can make out.

Edwards got to the byline but nobody in the box so does all he can and win a corner. Dicko fires across low but nobody gets a touch.

Same combination and Dicko persists and rides a challenge or two to get the ball across and Marshall finishes for 1-2.

Somethig to cheer at least

looks like my 3-1 derby prediction is on target then
