Coronavirus

That

That will never happen, apart from the humanitarian angle, no govt would risk the fallout and pretty much all health workers would refuse to do it
I should hope not, but i've heard and seen a lot of people shouting for it lately, and it sickens me, and that's where the sparring with Newbridge Wolf stemmed from.

I kind of understand the pov, it's an emotive subject but in the cold light of day, I doubt many would advocate not treating certain sick people

There should be consequences for people who are choosing not to be vaccinated - much like the sugar tax, or tax on cigarettes. Personally I’m more in favour of excluding them from as much as possible to nudge them to change their minds. You’ll still be left with a hardcore of maybe 5% though.

I think a tax of some kind is possibly the most palatable. Maybe if they are admitted to hospital due to (not with or caught in hospital) the virus they are billed a surcharge of say £1000. I just don't think the excluding would work practically, there's a lot of people who are fully vaccinated who are against this, the people who suffer are hospitality businesses, again.

€100 a month fine for over 60s in Greece from January.

Just seen a photo on Facebook from an anti-vax ‘friend’ - sat in the cinema with his whole family, including disabled cousin, all with no masks. I’d say he fucking deserves to get it but he’s just thick as pigshit and doesn’t realise it.

there will be a rush to get vaccinated when other countries (where people holiday) make it a condition of entry. give it to the summer.
many of the 6 million not vaxxed, who are anti this vaccine are quite content with the required jabs needed to go globe trotting or on their hols.

That's pretty much everywhere in Europe. Cyprus doesn't currently or Mexico and a few over that way.

That's an option but how would thst be facilitated. Obviously they are taxed when the person buys those products, what would unvaccinated buy that vaccinated wouldn't?
No idea, I'm just an ideas guy.

Maybe a surcharge lumped into council tax somehow

Feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall.

That's actually a really good idea in principle you know - all the money it raised could go to building capacity in the NHS - most people would just get the vaccine to avoid paying more but the people who felt really strongly wouldn't have their liberty taken away.
Probably best to leave it then because I'm getting a bit bored of you pulling any reason you can think of to say why lockdowns are bad without offering a workable alternative.

I'm sorry for that comment, you've been polite with me throughout all this and that wasn't.

FWIW my alternative is what's happening now - carry on and let individuals asses the risks themselves.

I was supporting the lockdowns when it all started as we didn't have access to vaccines. My whole point since has been about not going into a cycle of lockdown, as I believe they are unsuitable in the long term and would cause more harm than good.

Had the Pfizer booster yesterday. Actually feel worse than when I had Covid. Everything aches.

mrs jelly and I both had the pfizer booster monday.
aside from a sore arm, I've been fine.
mrs jelly was ok until noon yesterday, and she developed feelings like having the flu. she was cold, and exhausted, and like you felt everything ached.
she's fine this morning - she had a good nights sleep last night. she's just taking it easy today.
It'll probably pass within 24 hours mate.

So it must be affecting women a lot worse then men then 😉
