Some high take up numbers there, especially with the Over 55's only starting this month

Interesting that over 100% of the 75-79 group have been done. Sure someone smarter than me (a 5 year old maybe) can explain that one.

my employer has sent out an email encouraging all staff to get their vaccine jabs when offered. they're advising staff to simply take whatever appointments are offered, during work time, and the time taken to have it will not need to be made up.

wish I'd known this a week ago, as we booked mrs jellys 1st jab for a saturday to avoid me taking time off work!

There's a fairly strong link between contracting C19 and then having side effects to the vaccine. 3 times more likely to suffer if you previosuly had covid, or something like that. Early days with crunching the data, and a lot of un-reported cases from the early stage of the pandemic.

My letter arrived so I tried again with the booking site. Get my 1st jab next Thursday at 09;50 and my 2nd on 7th June at Darlington which is better than having to go to York!

the gov.uk website? I just looked and it said 55 or over. did you just go ahead anyway and try to book?

Yes. You enter your dob and postcode and it either lets you book or says you aren't eligible. I tried a week or so ago and wasn't allowed, today I was. I guess it will depends on supply and how far down the list they are in your particular location

aah, alright..I turned 46 in january but got a few months to go yet I guess..all the production problems from all companies has slowed it down...but they say all adults will get it by end of june..dont know if I believe that
