Coronavirus

Well the talk at the moment is the whole of London will be Tier 3 and could be announced later today
think they have to, apart from trying to get some control over the growth of cases, not to would give grist to the mill to those who think London is getting preferential treatment

They have to cancel these stupid plans for Christmas, surely (they were always ridiculous anyway and purely designed to make it look like the fat fuck "saved" Christmas on his own)

The problem isn't the people who are obeying the rules now and would like to see close family at xmas, its the people who are not following the rules now - those are the ones who are ruining it for everyone.

True.

Maybe the general population will take things into consideration and boycott the relaxation of rules on their own........or maybe not, could be absolute carnage by the end of January

I'm not seeing anyone I don't see in the general run of things (basically, three people). But that isn't going to happen up and down the country, not a chance.

I don't doubt that he is ultimately to blame and I have no time for him whatsoever, but people do need to take some personal responsibility too.

Its my birthday today (yay me) and I haven't seen any of my family or friends, as I haven't since August. But then there are plenty of people (and I really do mean plenty) who merrily ignore the rules. None of my family are at a high risk and pretty much the only thing we have to look forward to is seeing family at xmas - I'm not going to accept that being taken away by selfish fuckwits such as those in those photos or people popping round to see friends because 'it'll be alright, won't it'

going by the increase in cases in London and SE, it seems people there haven't been following the rules. I know its difficult to compare different areas but following the last lockdown and a few weeks of tier 2, our numbers per 100,000 have more than halved...maybe thats too simplistic?

Happy birthday mate, none of my Da, our kid or me have been able to celebrate our birthdays properly this year (fortunately I could take the good lady out in October).

It really does frustrate me and make me wonder why I bother.

My sister is working for the local track and trace and they are fully expecting January to be carnage.

Guess I'm a hypocrite and have to hold my hand up, went for a walk with some our kids/grandkids on Saturday, 6 adults and 2 toddlers....although we kept a reasonable distance apart

Happy Birthday Tredman.

Damn selfish of your Mrs and kids to leave you on your own.

That's the thing though - if people stuck to the indoor rules then that type of outdoor activity should be fine. Can't say I blame you at all - starting to wish we had been doing the same

I technically breach the rules as I have more than one "bubble". But it's four people (including me) who all live alone and currently WFH. The risk is tiny. Plus you cannot make me choose who I can see out of my father, my brother and my girlfriend, that's not fair.

I've seen my best mate once since March and no other friends at all other than one lad who I bought something off and chatted to for 10 minutes at the end of my drive. That's it.

Happy Birthday Treadman

We always have the kids and grandkids over on Boxing Day but we cancelled it and are going to have a get together some time next year when things settle down.
Also, I'm now working Lates on Boxing Day 😒
