Steve Baker has broken party lines to call for Cummings to be sacked.

It is intolerable that Boris’ government is losing so much political capital. Three changes are immediately required:

1 - Govt needs competitive expert advice

2 - Govt must insist on high software engineering standards

3 - Dominic Cummings must go

He still got to prove he’s a dick at any moment possible

In a year, it seems likely we will look back and ask, not why we were slow going into lockdown, but why we were so slow coming out. Why was so much predictable economic carnage fomented?

It's personal with him though. Has always hated Cummings

Shapps going under the bus again this morning. Almost feel sorry for him.

Simon Hoare now says he has to go. This might be the start of the dominoes...

He’s getting crucified on Sky. It would be funny if it weren’t so serious.

They won't sack Cummings,Boris hasn't the balls to do it for one,and two, cummings knows all the dirt on them, easier to keep him onboard.
If this had been corbyns special advisor,we'd have never have heard the last of it

William Wragg has retweeted him. That's 3 Tory MPs now.

If Corbyn was running this shitshow we'd be approaching military coup territory.

Milne is just as bad as Cummings. Both disgusting human beings.

Johnson and Corbyn are by far the worst two leaders of the main parties in a 100 years.

Cummings should be gone but his arrogance won't let him.

Damian Collins and Sir Roger Gale now. 5 or 6 Tory MPs calling for him to go. We're about to see just how much of a fuck Johnson's team gives now.

Fuck him, I'm glad Marr pressed him on this, he was a car crash. At some point he should've held his hands up and said he can't defend him anymore.

He contradicted himself over and over but gamely tried to say everybody should obey the rules even in the face of Marr telling him Cummings did exactly the opposite, even using his own statements as an argument against his ridiculous insistence.

I presume all Ministers have been told what to say and do not step away from it or they get the same treatment as the MP's who voted against Boris on Brexit.

Just waiting for the BBC etc to find people on the beach today who will say "if the Government won't follow their own rules, then why should we"

I’m personally waiting for the next revelations from Pippa Crerar. Her reaction to the denial suggests she has plenty more dirt saved up. She will probably publish an hour before the afternoon briefing.

The scary thing is it will erode authority in the govts already piss weak message and cause even more flouting of the rules leading to more deaths.

Yep, they're going to struggle to impose a second lockdown if we have a second wave.
