I thought you would make that point and I think most people should be where you are. There is a lot to question. Sorry to have to sniff you out, I was merely seeking clarity given that I know you as someone unlikely to take something at face value. Thanks.

There is nothing to suggest it is beyond natural variabilty given the limitations of the instrument record, satellite data has only been available for a few decades for example. Ever heard of confirmation bias? Go looking for a problem and you might find a few instances of it.
In this case there have been two unusual events in the Northern Hemisphere, an unstable jet stream and unusual low pressure storms in the arctic. Both were unpredictable by meterological models which at best work a few days out.
To claim with any certainty that climate and weather is well understood is silly, remember the Met Office claims expertise in both. Unravelling a problem can take time even at a small scale, it has been with me and four colleagues recently preventing new product launch. Turned out to be something stupid, physics is like that.

Decades or even centuries of data is hardly demonstrating confirmation bias is it?

You can't really compare weather prediction to climate prediction either. Both work on vastly different time scales. Climate is easier and more predictable because the indicators are more inherently stable because they are so long term in their nature. You may as well compare predicitions of kitchen sink water movement with sea currents.

You have to agree that instrumentation changes, proxy data interpretation and historical subjective accounts muddy the water somewhat. Most historical data is from a small portion of the Northern Hemisphere which has a higher proportion of land than the Southern Hemisphere. The comments in that Guardian article were laughable.

The specific heat capacity of water should tell you what is important. Simple physics.

I just wonder how unstable the climate is due to what they are spraying into the atmosphere - see Geoengineering/ Chemtrails. Maybe they are at a stage where they can actually control weather pattern therefore predict the weather.

The climate is self evidently very stable with the ability to support the evolution of life for eons.
A step change in a single insignificant variable triggering political convenience is clearly non-sensical.

The planet will be here long after we have devolved. Nature is the perfect balance in every form.

Everything is in one place so you can verify and trace articles and opinions. Believe me electronics rattling along at 2.4GHz presents more significant challenges than the mechanisms suggested. Highly localised RF networks work because they are just that.

I understand the science, thanks very much. What I'd like you to do is direct me to the DEFRA report without having to go through the other crap - from your cronies, those with an opposite view and the ones who clearly don't understand the science.
