For me there is pressure on us on this game given our dire effort against Huddersfield. We simply cannot fuck this one up. The problem will be that Cardiff will be Cardiff and themselves are on a shit run. They would take a point now. We need a good positive performance and a win to banish the Huddersfield negativity and set us up for united.

If we did fuck this up we would still be 8th. It's hardly a crisis.

This.

I'd love to win this game but if we don't it's hardly panic stations. Just disappointing.

I'd be more concerned if we played the same we have done the last 4 games where we've been far too slow with the ball and too negative when we're in good positions.

I want to see us attack with more tempo, getting the wing backs in the game more.

I've no idea what we worked on at our winter training break but it clearly hasn't worked as by and large we've been poor.

They've shipped 8 in their last two games, test them early rather than allowing them to build some momentum.

If we have a real aspiration to finish 7th, we need to win.

Bluntly that's exactly the sort of complacent attitude the players showed last night. Cyber's analysis of the game is exactly right

Ok lets panic!

To call the players who have given us the best season in my life complacent is a bit shit to be honest. They might not have played their best football yesterday, as happened earlier this season and last, but it's not because they aren't bothered.

The only thing that will make me panic on Saturday is if there is no Bathams or Holdens in the Western.

I think this type of comment is really lazy. Do you honestly think that in the last 18 months of Nuno he allows players to be complacent? You just don’t have such consistently good results allowing that.

I’d like to see Vinagre start this one. Would also be happy to see MGW come in for Neves, after his performance yesterday. I don’t see Cardiff giving us the space in behind the full backs for Neves to hit those raking passes - so let MGW play between the lines and let Vinny have a run at their full backs. Doesn’t bother me if it’s Doc or Jonny that makes way.

I’d give Jota and Raul another go, so Adama, Cav & Costa would still start on the bench.

This - it's baffling and seems to have had the opposite effect of what was intended

I think people are probably looking too much into the training break if I am honest. It will probably benefit us in the long run physically (and mentally)

Patrício

Saïss Coady Boly

Doherty Moutinho Neves Jonny

Adama Jota Cavaleiro

SUBS: Ruddy, Bennett, Raúl, Costa, Dendoncker, Gibbs-White, Vinagre

We need to find that balance between a solid defence and getting numbers forward. I'd move back to 3-4-3 but then add Saïss into the back 3 so he can step forward and replace the extra body we lose in central midfield.

Jiménez needs a rest so I'd switch back to something like the fluid front 3 we played with last season only with Adama out on the right. If he plays from the start the way he has in his last few apps off the bench then we should be able to pin them back.

I'm inclined to agree with Jinky and give Vinagre a game.

Patricio

Jonny Coady Boly

Doherty Donk Neves Vinagre

Moutinho

Raul Jota

Jonny to add some ball playing to the right side of defence. Vinagre to provide left footed attack. We are at home. Get in their faces, play a fast tempo and go for early goals.

I feel like with Vinny it'd just end up being loads of early crosses into the box which is playing to Cardiff's strengths really whereas Jonny & Doc are more inclined to try and work the ball into the box and pull players out of position.
