Cardiff 0 - 1 Wolves: The Verdict

Warnock's interview is crass - he had the chance to shake hands & ignored it

He was the problem, not Nuno

What did Colin say?

Said he didn t accept the apology and that he showed a lack of class. Also that you have to learn to show class in British football and he won't be in his office until nuno leaves (nuno said he would visit the office to say sorry)

Don't know what your problem with me is lately, Booz. I wasn't the only one saying Benik was the best of our front three first half so there's no reason to call me out specifically.

We definitely improved second half once Costa came on but for my money that's just as much to do with Leo getting off the pitch as it was Benik moving centrally.

Benik playing wide was far from our biggest problem in the first half.
Completely agree Alan.

Don't think Afobe upset the shape at all, he had his best go at doing the job the manager asked of him. It wasn't particularly effective but he still managed to out perform his attacking partners whilst they were in their preferred position. Afobe even managed to display his one big strength of running in behind a couple of times whilst playing wide.

If anything I think Afobe probably had a worse time of when he came central later on, wasn't as involved as he had been in the first half. The upgrades in performance from Bonatini/Jota to Costa/Cavaleiro was what really swing things.

Hopefully that will do to Cardiff what our late winner did to Bristol. Colin showing his class there, even Danny Gabbidon (who got quite a bit of stick on twitter after they beat us earlier in the season) said Warnock was out of order in that interview.

Colin:

"It was exciting and cracking game. Two top sides. End to end. Excitement at the end and a world class goal for Wolves.

"I'm disappointed to miss two penalties but it's one of those things we had to work hard to lose it.

"it takes some guts to take penalties I couldn't do it. There might have been other players who fancies it more but that's for another day.

[When asked about Nuno's apology] "I don't accept it at all. I think it's out of order and total disgrace. He's got to learn in British football you have class and manners.

"I don't think I'll go in my office until after he's gone. I don't want to see him. I didn't want it to end like that."

Colin's irony-detection system has apparently completely broken.

Warnock talks about class and manners on the sidelines is just laughable sounds like a bitter man who knows his side is sweating. Nuno’s post match interview pure class Warnock just sad.

Thought Cardiff were pretty poor. Just lump it in to the box no football what ever

I don't have a problem. I was following up this comment:

Boozad said:
Because he’s killing our style of play.

I don't see it. He hasn't been great but he's been better than Jota and Leo combined for me.

While Jota and Leo were piss poor first half Benik killed the shape, Doherty offered nothing up the right hand side because he was missing the space offered by a natural wide player. Benik ran and ran and did offer himself for the ball but overall the shape and dynamics really suffered. I'd already explained this in a previous post, it just gets a little tedious when throwaway one liners get thrown out without any reasoned argument behind them.

What was he expecting Nuno to apologize for?

"Killing our style of play" was just as much a one liner as anything I said.

Regardless, I said I didn't see what you were talking about and left it at that as I didn't really think it was a big deal. Don't know why it's bugging you an hour later.

My "reasoned argument" is that Leo and Jota being complete non-factors is what killed our attacking play. It had very little to do with Benik at all.

I hated Colin. After the battle of brammall lane. I respected him hugely after Cardiff 2003. His comments today piss that respect away. Fuck off colin you total fucking cunt.

Colin moaning about time wasting was pretty funny too.

He has the gall to talk about lack of class, the way his team's play is the definition of classless

No it wasn't, I've explained it three times. If you can't be arsed to read it that's your problem. I'm done.

Chill out, Booz. Just bloody enjoy the moment!

I've read it and disagree. Why is this an issue?
