Brighton (A, LC) 18/9: Build-Up & Match Thread

We actually don't have any kids there. Not if Meupiyou is injured (as we're told he is, and I also suspect it's stretching a point to say he can play there) and Sutherland hasn't appeared at all in the Academy teams as yet.

Go and ask the club why they've allowed that situation to develop.

I have no idea who Sutherland is.

But play him.

Even if it’s Kiefer Sutherland.

Fucking Doc at LB. Fucks sake.

Personally I would have kept Lembikisa who can at least notionally play on either side, can certainly run if nothing else and paid up Doherty's ludicrous contract (your regular reminder here that it runs to 2026, when he'll be approaching 35). But hey, that's where we are.

Closest we've got is either okodukwa (who is a RB) and Keto-Diyawa who played last night and is injured.

Yeah, maybe.

I wonder what’s inspired Gaz to think it’s a good idea to play Doyle in a midfield two again?

And I’d rather see a kid than Doc at left back, thanks.

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.
Pond is playing, and from what I've seen isn't very good. Him and Doc next to each other won't be pretty

I must say the club have done a marvellous job in gaslighting enough fans to thinking that Guedes is not only an acceptable option, but an acceptable option as a striker.

He isn't, for the record.
Probably not long term but he played well against Burnley and got two goals. That's the standard he needs to keep up.

Obviously thrown the towel in with that selection. Why such blind faith in Doc, Gazz? Just glad I can't watch it.

Only himself to blame by binning Bueno so many times.
It was utter madness to let Hugo go. If we'd got someone lined up better than him or Ait-Nouri, that would be one thing but we didn't.

Think each team is going for a world record on how many times they can give it to the opposition. Pretty poor start to a game this.

Plenty of talent in our second 11 tbf. Just don't look at the left side of the defence.

Should have been kinder with him?
