Brighton (A, LC) 18/9: Build-Up & Match Thread

Lima RB, Doherty LB it is.

God, you love to see it.

Will be Santi & Pond I imagine.

Glad I’m not travelling down there to that god awful ground to watch a glorified Pizza Cup tie.

Gaz also said Santi will start "next to a young player".
"Could start"

Could also be Dawson or Mosq. Guess it depends if Toti will be deemed fit enough for Saturday

Yes, got injured against Burnley. Won't play for at least a couple of months, possibly even not again in 2024.

He is what he is, he'll hardly ever score (13 in 215 PL games is genuinely pathetic), he'll have some good games, he'll look amazing on MOTD 2-3 times a season, he'll pull out stuff you wouldn't have off your mates down the park.

Cunha does all the ball carrying for us that he used to do and the pair of them aren't even in the same book in terms of quality and output, let alone on the same page.

Lemina for 10 mins at LB on Sunday was already a 100x better than that waster has ever been. I’d rather start my dog.

Is this another one of those Sky red button games we can watch?

Yep, all the League Cup games are this season. Worked perfectly for the Burnley game.

You may well be right but I will never forget his 2 goals at Man City. Doubt we will win there again any time soon.
