I see Scott won the EFL Young Player of the Year Award. There will be competition for his signature.

Would you rather have Scott or Alcaraz from Saints?

Alcaraz just put in a pretty pathetic performance against Bournemouth, Sutton was raging at him for diving

Plays in the Cunha role. Could play Cunha and Alcaraz as inside forwards behind a centre forward.

Would require a change of formation.

Not sure Alcaraz could play deeper but Scott definitely can.

Wouldn't be opposed to either tbh.

Alcaraz played CM and AM for Racing. At least that's what the scout reports said. Has played CM for Southampton once so far too.

So now Julen is saying Jimenez hasn’t been in the squad to ongoing injury niggles

His missus seems very precious.

Strange set of circumstances surrounding Raul. I mean, why would his wife tweet about "loyalty" if he's got some niggling injuries? She'd obviously be aware of them if that was the case. Can't help but feel that's a media line from Lop so he can avoid answering any more awkward questions on the subject.

I hope we see Raul in some shape or form before the end of the season (preferably when safety has been mathematically secured and the pressure is off) so he can get a proper send off from the fans. It seems like it's easy to forget, for some, that he was one of the best centre forwards in the world with us at one point.

He probably thinks that he can play through the niggles but Lop has decided otherwise which is fair enough.

Totally in agreement as to how he was for 2 and a bit seasons. He was the most complete centre forward, although this does not mean the best, in the Premier League

I'm sure Lop's response would be "Like you did in the World Cup?" and hasn't forgot he risked his fitness doing that.

Looks like 4-3-3 to me.

Neto, Costa, Nunes ahead of Gomes, Neves, Lemina

Mitoma rested for them.

Ninja’d by DW.

Mitoma, MacAllister and Caicedo all benched

Suddenly feeling slightly better about this one
