It's silly really, Joe Root would be an awful baseball player,

Sky showed Buttler and Hales taking part in some Baseball show in London. I reckon they could adapt to that game, certainly Hales who seemed to have an eye for hitting the ball

Just to wade in - does anyone remember the home and away matches between Bath and Wigan? At the rec it was Rugby Union, and it was a slaughter. Bath won by a street. Up at Wigan and under league rules, then Wigan cruised it. And the two codes of rugby are supposed to be vaguely close.

This cross-fertilisation of sports is horrid idea that made two men a lot of money, but I really hope it was a one-off.

Yes, watched both of those. They were bloody awful!

There's a great book by former England cricketer Ed Smith about the two codes. No conclusion other than the sports are different but players may be able to adapt.

There's plenty of cases of players moving from one sport to another with varying degrees of success so it can be done but usually it takes years of practice. The most successful one of recent times I can think of is Jaryyd Hayne who moved from Rugby League to the NFL but then quit that to go to Union (via athletics).

AJ v Pulev confirmed, whilst I would expect AJ to win it should be a good test for him.

It was obviously going to happen but i think AJ wins easily. He's so far in front of the other heavyweights at the minute and i think he ends it in 7.

I think you are right barring any complacency he should put him away. With Fury & Klitschko retired and Haye broken the heavyweight scene is really lacking top class boxers at the moment. I don't rate Wilder as high as many either.

Not a fan of Wilder either, i don't think he's a very good boxer but like you say the heavyweight scene is lacking top class boxers because i don't rate Ortiz either. AJ should be cleaning up unless someone comes out of the woodwork.

28th October for the AJ v Pulev fight. Let's hope he doesn't have a Hasim Rahman moment! I think this one ends quickly round 3 KO for AJ.

Daniel Dubois with another early finish, so heavy handed that last right could have knocked anyone out. Not a big Saunders fan at all so not bothered if he loses. I'm going for a 8 rd TKO for Canelo against the grain I know most think it will go to points.

I can't see GGG being beaten. Doing my best to stay up and watch it! Should be epic.

I can't make my mind up on who will win. GGG has the power and the ability to take punches but Canelo is the better boxer. GGG could cause Canelo problems with power or he could get outboxed and Canelo looks like an animal right now. Going to enjoy it whatever.

Complete disgrace GGG won that hands down the scoring of that fight puts a real downer on a cracking fight. Deeply impressed with GGG I thought Canelo would counter cleaner and more often but GGG just took everything and kept coming forward. Round 10 the highlight but I just don't see how any judge scores Canelo to win it. Interested to see how you guys have it but I'm shocked.

One judge scores 118-110 for Canelo absolutely nuts.

The judge who only gave GGG two rounds is a disgrace. I thought GGG won it handily, and there would normally be more uproar about the judge who scored it a draw.

Haye vs Bellew rematch apparently on for december at the o2.

Looking forward to Haye V Bellew rematch I just hope Hayes body holds up as I would love to see him fight AJ. If he stays fit Haye by KO round 7 is my prediction. Can't see any way Bellew wins this other than another freak injury.

After the love in after the last fight, I'll be surprised if people buy into the pretend hatred which will inevitably surface again and that will damage PPV figures. I don't blame TB for chasing the money, but it's a shame he's not gone for a Championship fight instead.

Must have watched a different fight to me NWW.

Not really bothered about whether people hate each other or not. Just want to see a good fight.

Not sure Bellew is even able to get a championship fight at this stage. Don't really get the way it works in boxing, basically just need Parker, Wilder, Joshua to fight each other, but they are all fighting nobodies instead.
