Boxing thread

Had a beer or two? ;)

This is a dreadful fight, haye vs either of these would be better. Joshua even better still, in a year or so though.

Fury 6ft 9 Haye is 6ft 3. Cant get near him IMO. Joshua 6ft 5 and can punch and box. Will be world champion by 2020 IMO. Bang average fight tonight but Fury doing what he needs to. I have him 4 rounds ahead

Fury let his ego get in the way. Had the fight won but trying to knock Wlad down saw him take some shots. Nearly threw it away. Should be an easy win on points though.

Wish I'd backed him now.

Klitschko overrated and Fury not as shit as many think. Thought he'd struggle without his reach advantage.

Weird fight - not much thrown - could have scored a lot of rounds either way - thought Klitschko would get the home/champion vote - glad I bet on Fury though!

Never thought the fat bum I watched fighting chisora for the first time a few years ago would be a world champion.

Fair play to him, he definitely looks trimmer than normal - still think haye or Joshua would beat him, if they can land a bunch though.

Well boxed, poor fight (barely a big punch thrown), Wlad was fucking awful but he did what he had to. Fair play.

AJ would destroy him so I don't expect that to happen any time soon.

Agreed about Joshua - think he would have Fury on his pants pretty quickly.

Too soon, not seen Joshua fight any one decent yet. He wouldn't just be able to swing his punches against fury, he wouldn't get past his jab.

It was a poor fight, with very few punches landed, but to go to the champions back yard and win over 12 rounds is no mean feat.
I could crawl up my own arse every time he grabs that microphone and starts to croon though.

And the re-writing of history begins. The disciplined, focused, peak-condition Klitschko who couldn't possibly lose has been transformed by the media into sluggish, old and out of form. I'm starting to think I could have beaten him. Fury is a prick in many ways and he's no Lennox Lewis but give the guy some credit FFS.

Fury deserves endless credit. He did an absolute number on him.
He's probably got Klit at the right time, but today he's got three of the four belts. He's heavyweight champion of the world!!
I do think he's susceptible to a number of boxers now though.

I don't think Fury will be there long although I don't see either Klitschko or Wilder giving him any problems tbh. If Joshua can continue as he is he could reign for years and years. Poor division as you say.

I think Haye beats him too, Joshua in a year or so will absolutely rule the world.
Poorest division after cruiser for ne
