Boxing thread

Glad Haye is back - unfinished business I think. Technically excellent but bottled it against Klit and played it too safe.

Think Fury will win on Saturday. There - I've said it.

Surprised by that comment.

I think we will feel the pain for about four rounds, get disillusioned and be stopped before the fight gets to half way.

Think it will go the distance, but Fury's poor boxing skills will see him losing.

I've been a big fan of Haye, his career at cruiser weight was superb and he generates interest no matter what people think of him.

I don't really see the point of this come back, don't get me wrong I think if he is close to full fitness he would beat anyone apart from Wlad. The problem is that even if he beats De Mori, you'd think he will need at the very least one other fight before he gets a shot at any of the belts. You're talking 18 months - 2 years by which time Haye will be 37. I think the best time for him to make a come back has passed.

He'll be back for one thing...A huge payday for a fight against Anthony Joshua

He's improved a huge amount though. Vlad relies on his reach and height - two things he won't be able to do against Fury. Fury can also switch stance which will make him trickier still. That said - Vlad obviously has the experience and I always wonder if Fury has the mental discipline for a fight like this. He's talked of having to win by KO which will either see him win one of the greatest victories of the past 25 years or flat on his back after 5 minutes.

I used to follow boxing religiously but haven't bothered since Ricky Hatton packed it in, I've never seen Tyson Fury fight so my question is, is he any good or is he, as appears, just full of shit?

He is, as others have said, much improved from a few years ago when he used to just be a big fat clogger. He's a long, long way from world class though, I don't expect him to cause Wlad any significant problems. I think Anthony Joshua would batter Fury tomorrow and if Haye gets back up to speed he'd outclass him as well.

I've seen him a few times on Channel 5(?) and I saw nothing that would worry any world class boxers. If my memory serves me correctly he got rocked a couple of times by journeymen so his chin may be suspect too. He's got a sluggers chance only.

The only good point he has going for him is his long jab and ability to switch to south paw.

Look like my perception wasn't far off, he's a bullshitter.

He has a slugger's chance. Personally I think Wlad will catch him on the chin and that will be goodnight Irene.

Just stumped up the cash to watch this, against my better judgement. Hopefully I'm proved wrong and they put on a decent contest, but I fear 12 rounds of leaning on each other, interspersed with Fury trying to knock himself out.

Haye is too small.Blown up cruiserweight even at his best. Joshua is such a different proposition. Hard as nails and punches like a train

I would fight Haye. I would not go near Joshua #fisrtroundknockout
