Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

So are Braverman, Truss and Badenoch to greater or lesser degrees. That's the nature of that wing of the party
I wish I was still totally ignorant about who these people are. Even learning a little about them is maddening

Seems similar to the US. The extreme right is becoming larger, louder, loonier. People who you think are totally unelectable somehow manage to win. Under normal circumstances they cannot defeat a moderate member of their own party, let alone win a GE against a centre-left candidate. But normal circumstances don't seem to exist any longer.

Keith Joseph was lovely too
Only heard of him in passing so had a quick look.

Leaving aside everything else (and there's plenty), Liverpool is one of England's five biggest cities or at least close? Just wanted to shut it down! Seems sensible.

The only difference now is I would say the centre right (where I would place your good self if I were asked) are a bit politically homeless.

Not speaking for Paddy specifically, but it's the right of the Labour Party. Nothing especially socialist about Starmer, it's old centre ground politics which you can support if you fall a little over the line either way, just like Blair

Still think the quieter Boris-hating rank and file Tory voter is going to prove key here, despite all of the focus being on the rabid nutters. SKS gives them a sort of ‘safe space’ to trust their vote to Labour and most of the leadership candidates are not going to reverse that.

My call is Tom-Tug getting the gig, which would go some way to placating them and nullifying the comfort zone of Starmer. Might not go down well with the more extreme voters but they’re not likely to switch anyway.

If he could calm the party down two years would seem a long way off. Would feel confident SKS would defeat any of the other nutters in a GE but Tugendhat could cause a big problem for Labour.

Tom-Tug has all the credentials - Bilderberger/WEF and therefore well tuned to a globalist approach to the ills of the world.

Think many of the populace are equating net-zero and pandemic control with authoritarianism and a restriction of freedoms so how any of them communicate this particular chestnut might be quite entertaining.

Well he wants lower bills for his horses stables. Not that he pays it anyway

Absolutely is an idiot.

What job would that be, Nadhim? Given that he was the worst Foreign Secretary ever by any reasonable measure and there's a very strong case for him being at least the worst post-war Prime Minister, if not of all time? And he's criminally lazy, doesn't do the very basics expected of him and is a habitual liar?

Just a play to try and get the Boris fans onside
