You don't, you pass it on to next person that moves in. Great news if that's your first house and never saw the non loan in the first place
 
So anyone buying a house or moving into a new rented property picks up the loan tab for a benefit they didn't get? Lovely.

Yep. It's a (not a) loan against the property.

So you could move out and do your Oz move thing after the money has been taken from your bill and never repay it but next person in your current property could be in their first house of their own will have the repayment added to their bill for the next 4-5 years.

You're surprised this govt have an ill thought through idea with no real planning? Look at how bad pritis bill is. The lords have rejected it 12 times now. They continue to send it back without any compromise.
The vacuous notion that a possible extra bank holiday will win them votes now displays their shallowness.

I am always surprised that a developed country has such an incompetent government, and continue to be surprised that people still don't think Corbyn wouldn't have been better, and would by and large vote the same as they did back in 2019, but hey that's an entirely different conversation that stirs up far too much anger to be able to be discussed sensibly.
 
Funny you mention the bank holidays, that was a Corbyn policy too, and it really surprised me that it wasn't popular, giving how for decades i'd heard how crazy it was that we don't have St. George's day off as a national holiday. When Corbyn suggested it, it was "how will we pay for that", "Labour's magic money tree etc" from those same people! 🤣

But as you say, this time round it'll win them votes.

Anyway, that's enough of my toe dipped in the forum politics thread!
 
Corbyn is yesterday’s news. Time to hope the current opposition can beat these sociopaths in an election.
 
If they don’t this time it says more about the people voting than the party itself. And if that happens it’s time to start paraphrasing Richard Littlejohn. Which is never a good thing.

Agreed. Party loyalties should not exempt these arseholes from punishment. I'm disappointed in Caroline Noakes who has made an accusation of bullying against her by a minister but has not named him. It all needs calling out and those guilty of it should be marched out of the commons and forced to resign.

The PM has just lied to the house to say that it did not know how easy it was for the disease to spread asymptomatically, prior to sending patients into care homes. It was reported from January 2020 that the disease was seen in asymptomatic people.
 
I saw he rolled out the old "Labour would still have us in lockdown" line. Where the fuck does he get this from, just rancid nonsense. I hate him.
 
He's only off by roughly 1,000,000, easy mistake to make.
