Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

And the fact that those submissions have openly accused Cummings of being in contempt of Parliament. Major the grey man has gone to town on the Johnson ministry.

Will this bring him down?

A ruling on the legality of Boris Johnson's decision to suspend Parliament for five weeks will be announced by the Supreme Court on Tuesday at 10:30 BST.

Or will it be this?

Boris Johnson has refused six times to address claims he failed to declare a potential conflict of interest in how money was given to a US businesswoman while he was London mayor.

Reports in several papers seem to suggest that a number of his lunchtime engagements whilst Mayor Of London were visits to her apartment. Now there's nothing illegal in that but the amount of times she accompanied him on trade missions overseas seems to be against rules as was paying out grants to her businesses due to his close friendship with her.

It's exactly what did for Dr Fox the first time around.

No doubt it'll be swatted away though. It's all very Trumpian.

I should be the end of him but it won't be.

Supreme Court judgement at 10:30 tomorrow.

Again, even if the Government lose, I bet they don't take any notice. They don't care about the law when it applies to them.

Unless he's found guilty of some jailable offence and literally put behind bars (fanciful but I can dream), surely whatever decision comes down from the SC leads to an eventual general election, with Johnson doing his man-of-the-people-against-the-establishment routine against the Bearded Terrorist. Only one winner there.

If the Court orders him to reinstate Parliament and he doesn't, or he refuses to comply with the Bill passed pre-prorogation demanding that he ask for an extension to A50 should there be no deal on the table, then he's broken the law.

As Prime Ministers don't generally behave like it's the Wild West and law doesn't apply, there is no real precedent.

I find it astonishing that anyone supports this sham of a man.

I don't think there will be a GE now that No Deal has been taken off the table, too much of a risk for the Conservatives to lose power.

The next logical step will probably be a 2nd ref/Peoples Vote.

I stick with what I predicted a few weeks ago.

The Incredible Sulk pretends to be negotiating a deal, when he isn't (as there is no answer which gives him what he wants) and is instead electioneering.

We get to the EU summit on 17 October and there is nothing.

He refuses to ask for an extension and resigns. This is all too much like hard work for him.

All bets are then off because we suddenly have no Government.

I don't think he'll resign, he'll try to kick the can down the road any which way he can in the hope he can get past 31 October. The opposition will have to find someone they can all support to form a temporary Government and go to the EU to request an extension. Step forward Ken Clarke.

i think his plan is come back 17 October with no deal on the table (surprise surprise) and then call a GE which he thinks he can win or with the DUP get a majority.
but how many of the 21 might win their seats again, personally, i think the buffoon has his head on the guillotine and is telling the guy in charge where the blade is sticking.

He can't do that, the same thing will happen again. He'd have to ask for a GE under the FTPA (remember, we aren't due one until 2022 - bet he loves his ex-mate Dave for that bit of awful legislation, specifically brought in so Dishface couldn't have his sham coalition broken up inside weeks) and he won't get two thirds of the Commons behind him.

He's either going to have to break the law, break his stupid promises or resign.

I think he will try to push it and give the appearance he would break the law if necessary whilst dithering on asking for an extension. Reality is all the time he knows there is a majority against him who will act. He'll then try to play the victim and swear both he and the 'will of the people' have been thwarted by an undemocratic coop.

The man is an idiot.

It's like if I challenged Ronnie O'Sullivan to a five frame match in a fortnight and bragged to everyone who'd listen how I'd obviously win, because aren't I great and no, I don't need to practice or anything, who do you think I am. Fairly sure that would come unstuck pretty quickly and so will he and his stupid lies.

There's a very watchable series where Ronnie does exactly that at pool in America and mainly gets his arse handed to him

Time for the most constitutionally important judgement in British legal history. Hopefully Boris gets absolutely stuffed.

Whatever happens, Lady Hale has stormed it with that brooch she's wearing.

Boom. Fuck you, Johnson. How is he going to worm his way out of this one?
