Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

As I said yesterday, Johnson making himself look a tit is newsworthy, but so is the background of the guy and him boasting about it on Twitter. She reported the news.

Why are you so bent out of shape about this?

Calling for people to lose their jobs over such trivial matters is fucking pathetic.

Oh here he is.

I'm pretty sure that if the majority of people behaved in this manner they would lose their job. Try it, see how it works out for you.

Pathetic. Like all faux outrage you have no answer to anything just adding your weight to the already indignant mob baying for somebody else's blood because they don't like something. Boo fucking hoo.

Fucking socialist wankers polluting social media is one of the modern curses I wish would fuck the fuck off.

Yep, especially as it was politics.

Sorry what was the question?

If you referred to one of your female colleagues as "sugar tits" and/or asked her to buy you sex toys, what do you think the consequences would be?

Moaning about faux outrage, whilst displaying erm...faux outrage, interesting.

Tbf, this doesn't seem to have received the same rage

I don't do faux outrage.

Oh right, so YOU are actually "bent out of shape" then - and incapable of reasonable debate without being a potty mouth.

Maybe you should ask someone to get you a sex toy, it may relieve some of the obvious frustration you have with life. I suggest it isn't a colleague you ask though, as you'll get sacked.

Whilst I'm enjoying the 'bantz' with you as always I think I'll leave you and your sex toys alone for the day.

It does seem as though there is a culture of 'I'll say what I like' in the absolute belief that it shouldn't be challenged in any way, shape or form. It's all over social media. That's not to say you should blatantly abuse somebody or break the law but the right to reply should be as sacrosanct as the right to free speech.

I fear we are losing that.

We are. Take Lineker for example with his tweet regarding our VAR disallowed goal against Leicester, there is no way he is stupid enough to not realise that it wasn't going to wind up a LOT of people and, given how high emotions run in football (something else he'll be well aware of), it was blatantly obvious what sort of responses he was going to get. Same here with Kuenssberg, she's in Johnson's pocket so the opposition are going to get wound up naturally.

As for the content of individuals' tweets well that can leave a lot to be desired, but that goes for any mainstream social media platform these days. But again, if 'celebrities' don't want this kind of backlash, don't post shit in the first place. That would make it so much easier to weed out the real vindictive trolls who do actually make certain lives hell without any egging on.

I don't understand what the BBC political correspondent has done wrong here.

You could say she should've highlighted Johnson was lying to the Labour activist and that would make her less biased.

The reaction to the tweets on social media calling for her to be sacked and apologise are a fucking embarrassment and those people should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't understand what she has supposed to have done either, maybe she could have phrased it better, but the fact that he is a labour activist IS newsworthy and would've come out somehow.

If she didn't report it and somebody found out that she knew then there would be accusations of bias in the other direction.

All of this argument has a detracted from:
a) the bloke was completely right and the hospital is fucked because of the Tory's
b) it was a press opportunity and the PM lied about it, to his face...and on camera, of the press that "weren't there"

She's free to post what she wants but in this case it's pretty obvious she's just jumping to the defence of her prized prick Johnson and trying to rubbish the actual complaints instead of just reporting the news.

She could have, maybe even should have, as that would be more akin to reporting the whole story, but she wasn't reporting here. She had a pretty clear agenda which is what she's being called out on. "Turns out the man who challenged the PM is also a Labour activist" isn't the way she should be reporting news. Neither is “This is him here” whilst linking his Twitter account, all she's doing is letting her true colours shine through by trying to discredit/out/belittle (delete as appropriate) him. If she'd posted the whole thing in a completely different manner there would have been kick back.

The reaction to the tweets on social media calling for her to be sacked and apologise are a fucking embarrassment and those people should be ashamed of themselves.

Naa man. :)

He'd already made it known himself.

Boris is loving this. Nice distracting shit show taking scrutiny away from the Supreme Court case which is what really matters.

Whilst I agree, a video of him once again lying shouldn't be doing him any favours, but of course, given the nature of everything at the moment, it's probably got him another 2% in the polls.

Notice his tweet about the hospital visit. Very conciliatory - bearing the views of those who disagree with me is an important part of the job. He is trying to use it to improve his image while telling the Supreme Court to keep its nose out and hoping nobody notices the excoriating submissions from a previous incumbent accusing him of basically being a liar.
