Don’t forget the waffles - massive waffles laden with all the sweet treats you could possibly desire.
Yeah she wants waffles to soak up the beer!

Just booked two weeks in Kefalonia in August. My mother-in-law has a friend with a property there and she's offered it to us for £600 for one week or £600 for two weeks! We've taken the two week option, natch.
It looks a bit isolated so might get a bit bored, but if it's a choice of being bored at work in the crappy British climate or being bored by a pool in 35 degree sunshine...
Fiskardo is worth a day trip. probably would be busy but it's a pretty town and I think it's the only area on the island that's survived past earthquakes with architecture intact.
Cheers. I *think* that is our nearest town.
De Zandloper Taphouse. Great bar with 18 keg and countless bottles. In marvellous Monday morning news, The GF has just booked us a CHILD FREE city break in Bruges - I know some forumites have been before so any recommendations?
Advice on the best beer/bars will be just as valuable as other attractions!
I know it's not a fashionable thing to say, but I bloody love Belgium. Great country all round. Bruges, Antwerp, Brussels and loads of other great places to visit.
Yep but when you have become the Worlds most boring old fart you don't want lively anymore, I could quite happily holiday in a library
Had the most amazing long weekend in Hamburg. Ok, it's not really a holiday for me in the sense that there's zero mystery about it (I know the city as a whole better than I know Wolves or Manchester) but it was ridiculously good.
I'll write it up properly in the next day or so.
