Bellend commentators

Watching El Clasico - Gerry Armstrong is just the worst co-commentator. Doesn't seem to have a clue regarding anything. Terrible

Clive Tyldesley after Harry Kane scored on Friday - "Harry Kane is only 48 behind Bobby Charlton's record, y'know"

Yeah I heard that..Talk about putting pressure on the lad. The press as a whole with their "he must play" bollocks were getting on my tits. He's had three quarters of an excellent season but no way he should waltz into the England starting eleven ahead of any player who has got England into the reletively strong position we find ourselves in..

Exactly, I'm not exactly Welbeck's biggest fan but he's got the shirt and he's playing well and scoring goals - Kane will just have to wait.

I wouldn't have started him either. Like you say, Welbeck always seems to play well in an England shirt and there's no way he's ousting Rooney or Sterling with zero caps even in friendlies never mind a qualifying game. Stupid public/media campaign.

Roy did state that Harry Kane is in direct competition for the central striker role currently held by Wayne Rooney, not the wide positions held by Welbeck and Sterling. Maybe the pundits need to study how England play and the requirements for each role.

Radio wm commentary team showed their true colours yesterday by massive cheering when blues equalized & went ahead. Moreso the equalizing goal in my view.
Showed their staffs blatant lack of bias.

They had Mel Eves with Paul Devlin in the commentary box, Richard Wilford was doing the commentary who is a bluenose.
I agree things were very dour when we took the lead but the excitement when blues scored there goals was very clear.
You'd have thought blues had won the cup.
WM coverage is extensive but of real poor quality especially the week day phone in which is at times embarrassing, they love to create a crisis at wolves whenever possible.
The station has for years been very pro WBA and Blues.

I'd prefer to stick a knitting needle in both my ears than listen to WM.

Alan Green & John Motson first up on MOTD. Is there nothing better out there?

I'm not sure I believe this, I'm hoping it is a wind up, but someone told me today that the hosts for the new Football League Show on C5 will be Mark Wright and Joey Essex. If it is true I'll be taping Goals Express

Haven't read anything about them hosting it. Would be laughable if true - can't see it myself

Will be nice getting to see the highlights/goals at 9pm rather than post-midnight on a Saturday.

Fucking Pat Murphy, without doubt one of the biggest fucking arseholes in sport. Tosser.

Davie Provan was awful tonight. Missed the deflection off Dawson for first goal, despite numerous replays, and then kept on saying Kompany had produced a great header for the third, before finally saying he made not of made a great contact 10 minutes after the goal. It was his shoulder!!!!!!!!

Owen had never really got on my nerves until tonight but he's talked utter shit from start to finish. Carrick's pass of the season, Hernandez the one player in the world he would want to come off the bench.

Banged on for a bit about how it was a harsh second yellow as well for a bit, then was shown to be talking balls.

I don't mind him normally in a bland, instantly forgettable kind of way.

Well usually i can just take him but he's spouted so much shit tonight that i can't just forget. He wanted a penalty for handball when the Brugge lad wasn't even looking at the ball and didn't know where it was.
