During the match today when the crowd were singing that Nuno had gone for a pint, the bloke next to me said "he's probably in the Western having a Bathams".

But weirdly he pronounced Bathams as "Bathe-ems". I made sure I gave him a good WTF look for that madness!

How else is it pronounced?

I've lived in the Midlands all my life and have never ever heard it pronounced the way it was today. And I worked for a brewery for 7 years too!

It sounds as weird to me as if someone had asked for a pint of Base (Bass).

It's the most obvious and natural way of pronouncing it based on its spelling.

Yes - Batham is a surname. The brewery was founded by Daniel Batham. Its still in the family - Tim and Matthew Batham are the current incumbents.
