Beer

Enjoying a Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier. Slight banana taste with orange (as you'd expect) but a good deal of spice to balance the sweet hops. Bloody marvellous and all for €1.5 and 500ml. Why can't beer be this cheap and this good in the UK?

Still can't the taste for a hefe, or wheat beer in general really. Has to be a big hoppy American wheat ale for me to get on with it.

I hated it at first but as with other beers I got to really like it the more I had. I blame you lot.

Currently enjoying some Hop Stuff brews in their Taproom SE18.

Back on the tried and trusted forty niner. Not everyone's favourite, but I like it

Born To Die 4/11/16. Best one yet. Insanely hoppy.

I liked this comment on the web page:

Awesome bitterness backed up by unrelenting aromas of resin, citrus, and juicy fruit. Born To Die is a eulogy to the hops that sacrificed themselves in its creation.

Had a glass of Webb Ellis earlier. I am not sure who brews it, but while it was ok, it was certainly nothing special.

I know that this isn't to everyones' liking, but I enjoyed it.

Back on the BeerBods tonight. First week back is a collaboration between Siren, Cloudwater, Arbour, Wild Beer, Harbour and Beavertown called Project 2/6. Six breweries, 2 beers - a Saison with tumeric and orange peel and an American IPA. This week is the Saison. Pretty excited to crack it open!

Picked up a Arbor - Beech Blonde tonight for £1.50. Stock clearance in one of the local shops. Bargain. Lovely golden bitter that you could drink all day.

Top stuff from Hop Stuff.

Fusilier, Arsenal Pale Ale and Session IPA.

Complimented by Left Handed's Pale Ale, Redchurch Paradise PA, The Kernel Citra Summit and Buxton SPA.

Langers, what was the beer/lager/ale situation like in Rhodes?

Heard good things and tasted good things! I struggle to understand why they only sell their bottles in 660ml though. Everything I've had on tap has been very good though.

Cheers, will have to keep an eye out for them.

A new beer shop has just opened up in Guildford, seemingly years behind the rest of the country. To my untrained eye, it had a befuddlingly wide range to choose from.

So today's featured be that I've never tried (or even seen before in real life):

Beavertown - Gamma Ray IPA
Yeastie Boys - Digital IPA
Siren Craft Brew - Blacklight Banana
Dark Star - Espresso
Wild Beer - Modus Operandi

Mad Dog - Charlie Echo 3.

In the welly - a lovely drop. But I think they've put the prices up in here. You'd love it, Machin... ;)
