Beer

Edge Sangria Sour. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Lush.

Just been to the Royal Exchange and the beauty of a proper Bathams never fades. Fucking lovely.

I enjoy Bathams, but it is as rare as hens teeth here. Agreed, it is an excellent brew.
I doubt many people here gave tried a proper Bathams at a Bathams pub (because of where they live). They don't have the capacity in the brewery to distribute it very far and it doesn't travel well. Not sure where the nearest one to Wolverhampton is actually? Gornal?

I'd recommend it to anyone. The pub experience is also guaranteed to be excellent. And it's £2.65 a pint. The Western can occasionally serve a very good pint of it but it's never as good as those served on one of their own pubs.

Just because I now live in leeds doesn't necessarily mean I haven't drank Bathams in a Bathams pub.

Green Hop in Slater's last night was excellent - think that what is was called though I was with Darlo & we had had a few so might have got that wrong

A real bite to it

Seriously though, I quite like Green Hop. Though I have only sampled it a couple of times.

I've managed two Bathams pubs now.

It's a great drop but it's not.really comparable with some of the big craft beers and IPAs.

Like comparing apples and oranges

Completely agree. On form, there's no better cask bitter at that price and abv. There are hundreds of better beers out there though.

It's making a comeback. Five Points have just released one, as have Partizan, I think. Twisted Barrel do a lovely one with a bit of added vanilla.

Just seen that Northern Monk & Siren have collabed on a Black IPA with Coconut. Get in my face-hole, immediately!
