Beer

The 'beauty' of cask ale, huh...

If anyone is in Coventry this weekend, this looks awesome:

I only live a few miles from there. But this weekend I will be in darkest Lincolnshire.

I'd give the Green Duck beers a miss if I were you. Lovely brewery to visit but the beers they do aren't very good.

Fixed Wheel on the other hand are excellent.

So Hop and Return of the Empire on cask. My word.

The guy who owns Fixed Wheel used to work at Green Duck, I think.

In which case he's improved dramatically!

In fairness, I've not been to Green Duck in ages. But I went not long after they opened and didn't rate any of their beers at all.

Nice list buddy. Let me know how the Crate Black IPA is.

Will do mate. Looking forward to the Watermelon Wheat and the Fourpure Juicebox as well.

It's lovely. If you get the chance to try their sour don't pass it up either. Made with passion fruit and hibiscus.

Will keep an eye out. The Wine Seller often has Crate in stock.

Coral Seas, a colab between Buxton & To Øl. A 5.4% gose brewed with seaweed. Mental but absolutely incredible.

Was tempted to go for a sour or gose today when putting that order in but couldn't do it.

Don't be put off by one bad experience man. I've had a few I've needed to pour away. Sours can be so variable. I understand some of them can be an acquired taste but once you acquire it...

You love your big citrusy IPA's so I reckon a big hoppy/fruity sour would be right up your street.

Siren - Pompemocello would be my recommendation to ease you in. Like Elvis Juice but slightly sour.

Or Calypso, that was my first sour and it blew my mind
