Beer

Vagabond PA from BrewDog.
Cross Roads by Ilkley Brewery. Decent enough WC IPA and £3.80 for 5.4% ABV. Not too shabby, but definitely not the Cream of the crop.
Chop and Change El Dorado from Vocation. A reasonable enough, but unspectacular PA at 4.5% ABV.

Pivovar Apollo Galaxy a reasonable 5.5% APA.
Thornbridge Galaxia a similar APA, but 4.5% ABV.

Pure embarassment. The foreign pundits working for BBC/ITV must be pissing themselves.

Hey ho. It's Tuesday, I've a day off and I have a Brethren Card which gives me a 15% discount on ales when it's either Tuesday or Wednesday at the Refectory. What could possibly go wrong?

Demerara 80/- @ Allanwater Brewhouse. Gorgeous.

Get to taste 'my' hoppy wheat beer sometime over the weekend. Can't wait.

Never really understood the 80/- thing up there. The hotel I worked at used to have one (can't remember, some plain bitter I think) but I never knew it was a widespread thing...?

It was based on the price of a hogshead. The stronger the beer the higher the price; 54/-; 60/-; etc.

Had the Northern Latitude a couple of weeks ago. One of the best I have tasted in a while.

It is a great brew, one of my definite go to beers if it's in stock.

American weekend at Slaters:

More 'American style' than beers actually from America (although there are a few), but that's a handsome looking beer list. Would be particularly keen to try the Howling Hops Running Beer on cask.

Rather annoying that I'm up in Stockport this weekend, so won't get to go.

The first comment is the best thing about that waste of bandwidth. Sounds like something Alan Partridge would write.
