Aston Villa

Unlikely if he is turning down forty million quid. Pie in the sky to think he is getting more than that

Turning down the £40m for a % of the club, an amount that matches his requirements, would indicate he is looking to sell the club sharpish and a sale might be close(ish)

But he turned it down. And then, say he changes his mind? Then you would have preferred bidder status and due diligence starts. As soon as he opens the books that forty million looks great value, and the investor walks away.

All is now well in the World. The Dr has remembered his Twitter password.

Took lots of time to rethink about what we did, right or wrong things. Didn’t read any news about us which surely were with many rumors. I will keep doing my best to support our beloved AV. Keep stronger! #UTV

Spoken like a true Harvard Professor.

Apart from the Villa stuff.....how fucking shit is that Mirror website.

The commenter moaning about how xia isn't interested in villa anymore and is just going to sell to the highest bidder, err that's how these things work mate

"we need answers before we decide what action to take next" :icon_lol: what a self important cock

I'm still not sure what planet their fans live on.

"Yeah, we thought it'd be alright to pay players £60k a week in the Championship, fail and then get nothing for them when they left. This is all a massive shock".

The sympathy for Villa still hasn't kicked in yet. Their mismanagement is glorious.

The Villa fan who works in our factory is a massive cunt. I may have to pay him a visit and look smug.

Because they're a massive club who should be in the premier league (I'm convinced a lot of their fans think they still are) and won a European trophy.

I don't believe that their fans have collectively accepted what their current position is.

I took my kids to the park a few weeks ago and heard a grown man, who was a villa fan, having an argument with a 6 year old boy (Stoke fan) about who the better club/team was. The Stoke fan won as we couldn't ever remember Stoke playing Villa in the premier league. The villa fan then broke out the 'bigger' club argument.

TBH if I hear someone telling me how big their club is it usually means they're not doing very well by all the reasonable metrics (league position etc)

Steve Round leaves the Villa, slowly falling apart.

Wasn't he the one who was courting investors? Doubt they will want to put money in now they've sacked the guy the discussions were going on with.

No, he was the Director of Football.

Totally futile having one when Steve Bruce is your manager, of course.
