Aston Villa

What we’ve done and Albion actually playing attacking football has cranked up the pressure on Bruce big time.
Problem is a young manager is one bad run away from being consigned to the scrap heap. Admittedly not every young manager is good remember when some thought Lee Clarke was something special but proved to be a complete buffoon.

One of the most unedifying things I've listened to recently was a couple of weeks ago, Brazil and Big Fat Slob bemoaning footballers getting fined higher amounts of money than the man on the street. BFS said that footballers are being punished more than ordinary people, failing to see the point that £200 is a hell of a lot more to an ordinary person than £50k is to Hugo Lloris. BFS was whingeing and whining on about how hard done by they all are compared to the rest of us. Brazil for his part, was moaning about whn he got done for drink driving (of course, he wasn't drunk, he was just over the limit after a few vinos) and blamed it on someone who 'grassed him up'.

Alan Brazil can’t be taken seriously anymore biggest hypocrite of them all, will moralise in an instance but treats his alcohol consumption like something to be proud of. He spends a lot of time talking about his social life like any listeners give a shit.

Yeah I agree. I get sick of hearing him brag about his ligging lifestyle. Most of his co-presenters are his boozy pals - BFS, McCoist, Quinny. ANd then the guest spots for his other mates - Rrrrrrrupert Bell, Henk Potts, Vinnie Jones, Bob Bubka. There is very little actual sports chat on there inbetween

Sky Sports quotes...

"There is a certain element that think I can't do the right thing about anything. I know with a club of our size there is expectation. However, it is not a given to come to Bristol City and beat them three- or four-nil. I will get on with the job as always and do the best I can. I know with the squad of players I have that we will be there or thereabouts when it counts."

If Bruce gets the bullet you absolutely know they'd be in for Allardyce. Only he is still up his own arse in terms of what job he should be doing so he probably wouldn't go there. At least not until they clear their debts and can spend, spend, spend.

I reckon they will go for John Terry.

Villa 2 up so far tonight. Looking at the formation Bruce is still clueless as Grealish is completely emasculated on the wing to accommodate two up front for the Bruceysaurus.

Fortunately Preston are abominable.

Interestingly the celebrations of the goals from Villa Park are really REALLY subdued. I don't think they give a fuck right now. They just want him gone.

Championship is horrific this year. Jammy fuckers will sneak in playoffs and get lucky.

I think the whole division (bar Albion winning it) is a complete fucking lottery. It's close because everyone is fucking shit. And to add, bar possibly Albion, anyone coming up next season is going to make Cardiff look really good by comparison.

Isn't Leeds steamrolling it this year?

I haven't being paying attention, but everyone in Portugal is talking about Leeds and Bielsa

They started like a train. But they are behind Albion now. Can go top if they win tonight. Boro are winning as well. Nobody is breaking away at this early stage really.

Albion will be the class of the field I believe. Apart from that the only ones I really don't want coming up is Villa with their new-found supposed colossal wealth. They can stay down and get butt-fucked by the FFP poker.

Leeds start well every year and are out of the play off spots by bonfire night, it's just their MO.

Makes sense! Villa seems to be pretty screwed though. If they have lost so many points already, they'd have to win more matches than their counterparts.

Thought I’d watch last 20 mins. Attack vs defence. Unfortunately preston are woeful. “£45m man” anonymous. They are basically playing with 9. Not sure why PNE are so bad when their team is basically the same.

Villa hanging on for grim death and are getting utterly battered. At home. To the bottom side.
