I was going to mention it on a couple of Threads but thought with there being 4 as Wolves parts we may be better having one place for discussion.

I just sat through 45 minutes of Part 1, obviously it was done before the changes to the 1st team.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the answers from round the table.
Jeff and Scott.

The club is in good hands with Fosun. I am still quite hopefull for next season, the rumours about Neves for £35m is way off the mark.

Fosun are still very invested in the club and what they do, I espcially liked Jeffs response the super league he understands British football.
I feel a lot better having watched it then i did say Monday

I watched it too. Thought it showed that Jeff is no fool when it comes to knowing something about football. I was also impressed with Scott Sellars.

Personally not seeing anything particularly arrogant in that, I know a lot of fans hate the term 'product' but thats the money men, its what they've been bought in to do. What are people kicking off about the Red Bull analogy, describing it as a brand?

But a couple of million extra in gate receipts won’t do anything to make us more like City than Newcastle. No team outside the Scum Six is going to challenge them long term without an ongoing injection of funds. Leicester are probably the model we should look at and that needs recruitment much better than ours has been lately. The difficulty is Leicester are seen as a better option than we are now. I also doubt they pay 33% fees to agents like we did with Doherty

Like it or not Wolves is a brand as much as a club. Growing that brand around the world is how we get bigger, combined with success on the pitch. That's just the modern way of business, which football is.

No problem developing a brand, that makes sense when the Premier League itself is a global brand, the issue is imposing that model onto match going supporters. There are many ways that the club could look at in terms of increasing match day revenue without using the blunt tool of ticket prices. At the moment, there isn’t much incentive to spend money in the immediate vicinity of the ground unless you are actively seeking over priced low quality beer or over priced low quality food...both of which they do in abundance. At present, the immediate vicinity of the ground does little to entice fans early.

So, no need to raise the ST prices... Full stadium in full voice, seen on TV around the World, coupled with "the brand" and we become more visible.
Half empty ground because the "product" is shit and the vocal fans have been priced out of attending isn't a very good way to run the business model

The thing I got was constant talk about the product and Value For Money.

When pricing the tickets they are not just looking at the game

They mentioned WiFi, they mentioned ordering food and drinks from your seat.
They did mention Value for money.
Before I fucked off to Spain I was quite high up in Sky, my managers, manager who reported in to the MD, always bleated on about Entry Level sky, Vinny also talked about Entry Level Wolves and making the match day experience VFM.

Now for me who sits in the Pub until 2:45 ambles to the ground and takes his seat just as the players come out, the match day experience means shite but for those who want that they probably will get full VFM.

The one thing that very much struck home for me is that building the global brand, pushing the eSports, pushing the global brand, is very much aimed at giving us the ability to compete with the Top 6.

It was interrsting that Jeff said the first 5 years were about the first 11, he then went on to say for the senior management team the next 5 would be totally different witb more focus on building the brand. He did say 3 years in the top flight was not impressive to him and it was about building on that.
Also when asked about next season they did say they would strengthen the squad and wanted to be pushing for Europe again.

I was really impressed with their comments (more than the questions), they have clear objectives and are still pushing those objectives, the objextive is to build a Global Brand that sustains a top 4 team.
He said something I agreed with if you solely concentrate on the first 11 you may get a few good years but they wont last.

I have plenty of optimism for the coming years.

Oh and really not fussed about WiFi, I'm there to watch the game, not mess around on my phone. I think I've posted on here once during a home match when I was there, vs McDons under Ken, just to show you all how ludicrous our set up was at 0-0 with 10 minutes to go against a dreadful team who had come for a 0-0 (and got it). I was confident I wasn't going to miss any action in the process.

I get business as i run one. I also get fans as i am one. Building the brand is one thing, but if you don't look after what makes that brand then you are on a slippery road.
We are not Man Utd or Chelsea who have had years building their brand, but based on looking after what makes their brand what it is (IE success on the pitch). They also have years building a fan base that buys 10's of millions of club "product".
Pissing off the core base of fans here, who in the main are the ones who pay to watch the match, and who also shell out to buy the clubs product is a bad idea. They say they look long term? Better to bring in price rises long term, rather than 1 big increase now after everyone has had such a shit 18 months with hardship, job losses etc.
Obviously it's going to be their (Wolves) call on all of it, and the only thing fans can do is vote with their feet and wallets if they aren't happy.
From watching the video it actually doesn't look like they are bothered. Maybe they think the "million" mexican fans will replace the core fan base.

I get that DW and i am the same as you, but a for a lot of fans decent WiFi is a must.
Ordering food and drink from your seats.
The whole match day experience getting VFM.

If there whole plan works and we do crack the top 6 in the next few years playing attractive football, with a change to the Steve Bull, more corporate, more fans, we would all pay the extra £10 - £15 on season tickets.

I have no idea of the price increase and neither does anyone here, I would guess the cheap seats will go up by less than say the dear seats.

My thoughts are the club is in safe hands, they know where they want to be and will be pretty ruthless in getting there.

One thing we all want, Fans, Fosun everyone is a successful football club, listening to the Senior management team they know how they are getting there and staying there, there is a business plan to get there.
