Obviously we're also viewing as people who talk/read about, and watch/listen to political news and commentary on a daily basis, which isn't really who these debates are aimed at.

Did someone say Piers Morgan was shifting towards Labour, you wouldn’t think so watching the arseole on Newsnight.

I was just thinking, it's tight as to hates Starmer more out of these pair!

What is the 2k tax rise thing?

He kept saying Labour are going to put everybody's taxes up by £2k. Starmer didn't properly respond until about 25 mins after he first through it, and sunak must have hammered it 30 times. He eventually said that it's nonsense, it's made up from fantasy policy interpretations etc, but it definitely stuck. That said, the audience did start to groan at it too. But definitely a point for Sunak's messaging

Tories should not be getting away with talking about tax. That's an easy argument surely.

Starmer missed a few obvious opportunities. The taxing pensions issue, for example…the only reason pensions will be taxed is a direct result of Conservative Government policy of freezing tax thresholds combined with the triple lock. He should have stamped out the £2000 tax rise much sooner…although he wasn’t helped by the chair who probably should have given Starmer an opportunity to respond properly.

Do we know who is chairing the BBC debate in a few weeks?

Judging last night/the last week by bookmaker (Betfair) odds, a Conservative majority has gone out from 45-1 to 60-1. No Overall majority has gone out from 12-1 to 18-1.

Starmer is a bellend then. That letter was sent two days ago - as soon as Sunak mentioned a £2000 tax rise, he should have pulled that letter out of his pocket.

This, he gets to say that the whole premise of the the previous debate was based on a fabrication. Whether the masses care or not though is important, but then Starmer used to be a QC, so he should know about how to influence the general public i would think.
