2018 - 19 Season tickets

The pub would definitely have been annoyed about how it was all going off in there - tons of Wolves singing, all football fans in there and some clowns outside acting like ADHD kids (what can you do), but that isn't their Saturday night vibe at all and they have a long standing clientele who don't want that. We've all normally buggered off by 7-8ish as it gets too loud in there anyway and most of us have homes to go to in any case. This time they probably had to forcibly say "no, the football lot need to get moving soon enough, don't serve them any more". Which is a pain in the arse if you're the one being told "you can't come in" or "we aren't serving you" but fuck it, it's their pub, their rules. Just leave then.

Personally I've never had a problem in there, never been refused a drink, never been told I need to go and I've been there long after 8pm on more than one occasion, but then I tend to be "generic man with solid hair game standing in corner in a coat having a chat" which stands out a lot less than "cloaked in Wolves gear bellowing out inaccurate chants about Wolves playing five at the back or Ivan Cavaleiro never giving the ball away".

Neves is better than Zidane then?

Some shenanigans after the Sheff Wed game.

You know they have the dress code thing after 7-8pm because they wouldn't let you in once :icon_lol:, some people dressed in Wolves garb couldn't get a drink on the final day after a certain time, allegedly the bouncers/staff acted like pricks about it, I couldn't say either way because I either didn't see the kerfuffle or I'd left by then (about 7.30), cue blow up on social media and the fallacious argument of "isn't our money good enough for you" etc.

It's basically Paddy's fault for behaving like an England fan circa 1988 outside.

Didn't think that the bouncer's were that objectionable - went to go out of the front door for a cigarette as couldn't get into the smoking area due to the 'choir'. They politely informed me that if I did I couldn't come back in so didn't bother.

Their timing is clearly flexible as well as to what is going on as was in there after the Swansea cup game talking to a group of Austrian lads (were over for that game & the Forest/Arsenal one on the Sunday) till about 10pm. I certainly still had a Wolves shirt on (though it was fairly cold so probably a fleece as well), but as we were merely quietly having a drink & chatting we were left alone.

Sorry to disappoint but I am a season ticket holder now (J1, Q9) so y'all be seeing more of me....

HA! Knew you wouldn’t be able to resist sitting by me. You’ll just have to get whoever bought Q10 to swap.

Is the Hooded Ram full on a matchday? It’s pretty big inside, the food is decent (if you want any) and there’s a decent selection of beers. I don’t mind sticking with the London to be fair

Never seen more than a few people in it.

It’s been empty whenever I’ve been in. Might be an option? Loads of seating in there and shitloads of standing room to boot.

I went in the Hooded Ram before the Swansea game. Kids are allowed, match colours aren't, they serve fancy pints but the prices are a bit daft and frankly the place just isn't comfortable.

Also, the less said about acting the twat in Boho after a match, the better.

Also, did Langers have anything to do with us going to the Cuban before the Cardiff game? I thought it was Darlo wanting to go somewhere else that ended up being full so the cuban was a last resort.

Apparently this is what you genuinely have to do at McDons because there is nothing at all to do near their sordid grief hole of a ground containing a stolen team.
Or if you’re a Wolves fan empty the nearby M&S Foodhall of all their booze and drink it in the carpark.

Comfortable with you blaming either, Langers 100% dragged a few of us to McGhees after Brighton at home in 2015/16 even after I warned him numerous times.

I don't really have any say in matters.

McGhees is one of the few pubs that puts me on edge. Far too many aggressive cases drink in there.

Only been in there once - Darlo insisted that he wanted to take part in the karaoke (& did) - weird experience (McGhees not Darlo's singing - not sure what to say about that )

No, I've never been in there in my life. And I wasn't at the Cardiff game.

I DID drag people to McGhees once though - I hold my hands up to that one.

Only ever been there on darts duty. Used to have a phenomenal team that used to get paid for playing on a Weds night. Wasn’t really in the spirit of a friendly local pub league.

Chris Mason and the like, played there plenty of times and it's a real shithole. Those toilets in the bar should be condemned.

Well, Sam isn't on here to defend himself, so let's blame him.
