2018 - 19 Season tickets

Tailgate in Asda car park. NFL style.

Apparently this is what you genuinely have to do at McDons because there is nothing at all to do near their sordid grief hole of a ground containing a stolen team.

I think you're confusing me with Sam. Cuban is a hole.

You dragged me there at least once :icon_lol: I don't forget things like that.

I think you did concede defeat once we actually got there...

Just remembered that Slater's has closed now too, which is one less place to house the pre-match crowd. It was shite, but seemed to get busy enough.

I wonder how well the new Parisian cocktail bar that's replacing it have factored pre-match crowds into their plans...

Doesn't sound right. When DDW was over for the Blues game we ended up in there and then one other time when Mike/Sam dragged us there. Think that's the only 2 times Ive been in.

If the Moon actually upped their game to become a stock 3/10 city centre Wetherspoons, that would take a hell of a lot of the weight off everywhere else. Loads of people would gravitate there because it's big, cheap and near the station. The problem is that because it's a 0.5/10 pub (being generous), anyone with more than three brain cells will not go there because who enjoys the worst queuing system in the world, waiting for the worst bar staff in the world, at the most understaffed bar in the world, in a filthy pub that provides the visibility of the Blair Witch Project?

The Goose is as rough as shit but you can actually get served in there.

Don't forget that half of our fanbase* are boycotting the Bohemian now, which will free up some room

*deliberate exaggeration

This was some point in 2016/17, a Saturday 3pm match, can't remember which game but I know I'd started writing by then and it was around the time when I was getting the team news a day in advance. Anyway I assigned blame to you in my mind, which seemed fair at the time.

We were also in there pre-Cardiff last season but that one wasn't your fault, that was whichever idiot decided we should change pubs at about 1.30 despite having seats and a table where we were, and we subsequently couldn't get in the Dog or Slaters so we were fast out of options.

Yeah I remember that, was definitely Mike/Sam

I wasn't at the Cardiff game.

You can leave me out of the "lets go to the Cuban" thanks! Absolute hole that doesn't sell any decent beer...I think you meant Sam and Aiki

It was DEFINITELY you. :icon_lol:

Are they? How come?

It was DEFINITELY you. :icon_lol:

At no stage of my time visiting Wolverhampton for match day have I EVER said the words "lets go to the Cuban Exchange"! :icon_lol:

We have gone there on a night out when everywhere else was closed but that is due to me being a beer monster and always wanting one last pint!

Are they? How come?

Some shenanigans after the Sheff Wed game.

You know they have the dress code thing after 7-8pm because they wouldn't let you in once :icon_lol:, some people dressed in Wolves garb couldn't get a drink on the final day after a certain time, allegedly the bouncers/staff acted like pricks about it, I couldn't say either way because I either didn't see the kerfuffle or I'd left by then (about 7.30), cue blow up on social media and the fallacious argument of "isn't our money good enough for you" etc.

It's basically Paddy's fault for behaving like an England fan circa 1988 outside.

They're pissed off about that???! I was annoyed for about 36 minutes after it happened to me :icon_lol:

The pub would definitely have been annoyed about how it was all going off in there - tons of Wolves singing, all football fans in there and some clowns outside acting like ADHD kids (what can you do), but that isn't their Saturday night vibe at all and they have a long standing clientele who don't want that. We've all normally buggered off by 7-8ish as it gets too loud in there anyway and most of us have homes to go to in any case. This time they probably had to forcibly say "no, the football lot need to get moving soon enough, don't serve them any more". Which is a pain in the arse if you're the one being told "you can't come in" or "we aren't serving you" but fuck it, it's their pub, their rules. Just leave then.

Personally I've never had a problem in there, never been refused a drink, never been told I need to go and I've been there long after 8pm on more than one occasion, but then I tend to be "generic man with solid hair game standing in corner in a coat having a chat" which stands out a lot less than "cloaked in Wolves gear bellowing out inaccurate chants about Wolves playing five at the back or Ivan Cavaleiro never giving the ball away".
