2015 Cricket World Cup Australia/ New Zealand

We lost this when we decided to bowl with absolutely zero common sense, no way we were ever chasing down that. At least one batsman has got a few runs

Really don't understand our bowling sometimes and the tactics, its bizarre

Does anyone know why Taylor was dropped down to no6? It seems a little strange to me.

I have absolutely no idea. Clearly related to bringing Ballance into the line-up with zero warm up cricket. Very odd decision.

Sometimes I am baffled. While Bopara had not been pulling up any trees, they suddenly drop him and bring in Ballance. Though we must presume they had a good reason for making the change.

Hopefully Anderson can hang around and help him to his century

Dropping Bopara isn't really an issue, but we should have just moved everyone down one so Root 4, Taylor 5, Morgan 6.

Morgan is a complete fraud.

Is Anderson going to be given out for a run out. Surely that would be wrong.

Surprised me that England have made more than 200, maybe the Aussies required good beer sales.

Should be dead ball. Learn the bloody laws umpires.

Surely the ball was dead when the LBW decision was given, so how can Anderson be out?

Taylor looks a lot more at ease batting in the second half of the innings, I just wish they'd backed Ben Stokes to play as a batting all-rounder in conditions that favour him, not batting no.8 in Sri Lanka and then dropping him. I'd be batting him at 4, with Root upto 3.
Moeen in Australia is not an opening batsman. I may eat my words but Hales would be a far better bet at the top of the order.

Would loved to have seen:

Bell
Hales
Root
Stokes
Taylor
Buttler
Moeen
Woakes/Rashid
Broad
Finn
Anderson

I'm a Morgan fan but his form is horrendous lately.

I very much doubt that England will change their captain again, so Morgan will almost certainly play.

The moment Aleem Dar gives the LBW decision the game is over in the eyes of the umpire so anything after that second should be dead ball. At least that is how I have always understood it.

So did I, but apparently when a review is taking place the ball is not dead until the decision is given.

It is dead ball, Graeme Swann is wrong.

Those are the rules, umpires again doing themselves no favours again. It's not baseball when you can two outs on the same ball.

Thank you for the clarification DW, so Taylor was denied the opportunity to get a well deserved century.
