2015 Cricket World Cup Australia/ New Zealand

Half the time the bowlers have been so poor that the batsman have to throw the bat at it to try and get to a massive total, and we get skittled.

Most teams now score 300 plus in 50 over matches. England consistently fail to do that. Though I do agree about the bowling. For whatever reason our pace bowlers continue to bowl too short. It was food and drink to McCullum.

Hoping Pakistan v West Indies might be a reasonable game. Sounds like Australia v Bangladesh is going to be an abandonment. Brisbane is just a touch soggy at the moment and my brother says the weather is very wild in south Queensland.

Means Bangladesh will get a point where they didn't expect. This will make England's game on Sunday night huge.

Christ - this opening bowler for Pakistan is SEVEN FEET ONE INCH tall. Makes Joel Garner look like Malcolm Marshall!!!

How fucking tall is Irfan for Pakistan must be at least 6ft 10in?

Answers my question the ball must coming out of his hands must be a nightmare to read.

You would need a sixty foot tall sight screen if there was any camber in the ground.

I thought the openers were going to try and bludgeon their way out of this opening bowling but they are getting bogged down by decent pace and a bit of swing from a sensible length. Irfan goes short and he could get hit.

Bangladesh was must win anyway really. Although we might also beat Sri Lanka if they are as bad as they were in the opening game. Their death bowling was as awful as ours vs Australia and also the new ball stuff was village.

Fucking hell. You give a dolly away and get lucky one ball, and then repeat the catching practice immediately the next ball. Gayle can be wonderful to watch but lately he has batted like an absolute goon.

Excellent third umpire decision to keep Bravo at the crease. Looking forward to seeing Riaz. If the radar gun is to be believed he is Shoaib Akhtar rapid.

Yeah, he's played against England before. He isn't very quick at all.

The measured him at 154k against India. Really???? His top speed today is 140. That is just too much of a leap of faith unless they measured a full toss or a beamer.

I didn't see India's innings in that game, surely must have been an error because whenever I have seen him before he has just been a stock bowler around the pace of Woakes/Bresnan.

Wahab - 154.1 Mitchell Starc 150.2. Mitchell Johnson 150.1 - those are the quickest so far. No way is that not an error. He is nowhere near as quick as a Johnson. Not even close.
